I am looking for an automatic 1965 small block cable shift 904 transmission to go behind a 273. Must have the small 1.5 diameter torque converter with it. Thank you much
Central Florida south of Orlando

I've got a big block park cable used, ( don't know if the same) if you need one, $150 plus shipping

I don't they don't like commentary.... but if no one responds here, I'd bet that's a pretty easy to find item over at FABO. I know some of those boys there are sitting on small block cable shift units. Good Luck, Lefty71

I don’t need just the cable, I’m looking for the whole transmission assembly.

Also I already have want Ad going at FABO. I figured I would put an ad here because I used to have a 65 Coronet with the 273 that had the same cable shift transmission in it that I’m looking for.

No prob, most of the ones I've run across the cables were missing/destroyed. I converted to a lever trans.

I have one that came out of a 65 barracuda years ago out in the building..i would have to look and see if the converter is still in it i believe both cables are good but have no shifter with it..it has been in my parts bin since the mid 80's and 3 states..shipping may be expensive as i am near buffalo ny but would take 100 plus shipping for it

I have a good working cable shifted 727 from a 65 Coronet. It was behind a 318 poly if that would work for you. The poly runs good as well if you know anyone looking for one.

I have one that was on a 318. I sold the 318 so have no need for the 727. I was told it had been rebuilt but I don't know for sure. The 318 that came with it had been rebuilt so there's a chance the transmission was too.

I have a transmission that was rebuilt 3 years ago but not driven off a 65 satellite 318 car, no torque converter and a little surface rust is present but all of the guts are there and new internally. ......... Alex

Three different transmission were used in 65. The 904 was used with the 273, small block 727 used with 318, and big block 727 used with big block engines. I think they used different bolt pattern for the different engines.
