I want to use stock disc brake system on my Dana diff. Does anyone have a kit or will I have to make it. Don't want to pay wilwood pricing. Also read that the stock brakes stop better anyways.

Mopar Action had a swap using late model (I think)Jeep rear disc's to 8.75 or Dana. Think it was last year, or 18 months ago.

Doctor Diff has what you need. (Shouldn't everyone know this by now?)

The Mopar Action August 2018 issue "Take a Brake" is the first part of a 2 part swap. Tomorrow I'll look for second issue if your interested. They use Liberity rear disc's 2003 - 2007 or Wrangler 2003 -2006 disc's.

I recall the Mopar Action article being very interesting if you have good access to parts. Otherwise ask Dr Diff. Some of the other guys may not give you all details/tricks you need.

Or --- if you are going to keep it rear drums --- I have some (not many...) N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ Rear 11" x
2 1/2" brake shoes.... Nice smoooooth braking .... No
Ripping Up the brake drums.... Life is great, again....

The only “stock rear disc brake system” that Mopar had back in the 70’s is from an Imperial (iirc)! Rare, hard to find and when/if ya do, pricey.

Want better braking on the rear? Get the 11x2.5 drum set up and use 7/8’s wheels cylinders along with your front discs, you’ll have damn good braking!

My Dana used 15/16 cylinders and were not available. Had to replace them with 7/8.

The Mopar Action article did seem interesting, stock Mopar parts that should be available. Not sure about the braking capacity. Discs are sure easier to work on. The 11x3 big drums would stop a car pretty well. For my drag car, switched back to the 10x2 1/2' for weight reduction. It does seem getting the "true" disc/MC/proport valve combo is really important. Seems to me expert advice, Dr Diff?? needed.

My RS23V0A***** GTX has a Dana 60 rear axle assembly with 11 x 2 1/2" rear drums and uses 7/8" dia cylinders. I have the origional 15/16" cylinders but the cost to sleeve them is $$$$ by White Post Restorations.
The car came with the A34 super track pack which included front disc brakes. I may have the cylinders sleefed in the future.
