Would anyone have a GOOD factory photo of the engine bay of a 64 Sport Fury with the 426s? I believe the one pictured below is not a factory photo. Thanks!

The 426 street wedge had the chrome air cleaner and valve covers as standard equip.

Yes, that is a well known fact.

It shouldn’t be any different than a 361 or 383 except for the chrome valve covers and air cleaner.

Is there a decal on the air cleaner?

There would have been but I’m not sure where it would have been. I have a sales brochure out in my car and I’ll check it later to see if it shows anything. I’ll also check the service and parts manuals to see if it shows anything there.

Had a 65 Fury with the 426 street wedge. No engine call out decals only the hood ornament that I remember.

Correct, no engine call out but there would have been a small decal about 2” x 2” that referenced something about the air filter.

1964 426 did not have the 426 Commando pie tin. However 65 did. My 64............

Ha! Not! I will have to snap a closer photo of mine.....Incorrect battery, wrong distributor, cap & advance unit, fan shroud missing, incorrect radiator cap, incorrect plug wires, plug wire loom on wrong side of T-stat, missing the 2nd loom which bolts to driver's side valley pan bolt. Oil fill cap & PVC breather are switched out, horn relay orientation incorrect on firewall, power steering pressure hose incorrect orientation, clutch rod access oval plug missing, some kind of harness routed through open hole, air cleaner wing nut incorrect. I wish there were other photo's from a side view. Lot's wrong for a hammer price of $52,800...annnnd, it's a hardtop.

Then why do you need a factory photo?

Because as close as mine is I know it could be better.

No Jeff, I was commenting on the hammer price and it only being a hardtop. What do you think a convertible would bring in a more correct state with pwr brake, pwr steering and pwr windows?

I'm wondering if there's any dealer sales brochures, owner's manuals or the FSM that would have what you're looking for.

I have just about every peice of factory literature but no factory photo of the 426S

Just snapped a few for ya....

Is that the correct brake booster and color?
