Attached are pictures of my VIN tag and my radiator support. Not sure if any numbers that appear here are supposed to match. I can't find anything but some lightly stamped numbers on the right side trunk lip about mid trunk where they would be covered by weatherstrip. There are about five letter/numbers stamped there that are to light to photograph and almost to light to read. Looks like they start with EM. Am I looking the right place for the trunk numbers for a 67 GTX? I don't see anything in the trunk area stamped as heavily as the radiator support or with any similar numbers. The body shop painting the car says the trunk lip appears to be all original as well as the radiator support. The car came without a fender tag, but the shipping order number on the build card is 90902204, that matches the radiator support. Am I looking for this same number on the trunk lip and where?

Thanks!

The other number should be down behind the rear bumper. It's the SO number that matches the body numbers not the VIN. The fender tag would have had the number too.

Would that location be the same for a '66 Coronet 440 2dr. hrd. top?

No on 66-67 had the tag on the drivers side door frame by the dash the plate is by the battery on the inner fender the certicard on the radiator support... I don't think the body is stamped with numbers on it anywhere others may know more

I agree.

IF there is a number, it would be about here, not on the trunk rail.

Thanks! I had always heard trunk rail and never looked there. Bumper is off so I will take a look next time I am at body shop. Car is supposed to be original engine block and transmission, so I will look at that next, although I understand they may only be date coded just somewhat prior to build dates.
