hello all.
Been goofing around with my tail panel on my coronet over the last several months.
It was in pretty good shape with just some scuffing on a few fins. Not bad enough to warrant a reannodizing IMO. I drive my car, so presentable is fine by me.
I stripped the old chalky black off and massaged the scuffed fins as best as could be. Then I masked off the fins and the anodized areas with 3m fineline tape.
I used SEM “trim black” shot through an Iwata trim gun to refinish the black areas. Pretty happy with that product.
The red in the RT emblem is a mix of Testors Flat red, orange and gloss medium red. In the pics it’s just applied so it will flatten out some as it dries. I thinned the mix a bit to get it to flow out some.
Overall, I’m happy with the results. It shows way better than it did.
