Yes!
I talk to Wooks daily. We pit about 30 yards apart. Yeah, when it's time to go, you got to look after your priorities. Anderson steered me straight on suspension, he's a good guy. He has Nice cars too.. seriously.

Off season? I'm in South Flariduh! This is when my Hemi gets miles. And my Harleys get ridden.
But I am building a Hemi Killer. A 70 Stage1 Buick GS convertible.

I remember getting spanked by one in my 383 superbee as a youngster....who knew buicks were fast?¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hauling the charger to a friends heated shop, 4 of us are going to spend the day putting new headers, install a 4200 9 1/2 dynamic converter + reseal the tranny, and adjust some valves on the 510...one friends bringing his video projector...so..
2 lane blacktop will by playing. Haven't got together with the guys to work on going fast for some time...Going to be fun,:) the front seal on the tranny is out...so she is loaded up.

Gonna be spanking that Charger. If you don't have those rear spring perches boxed yet, maybe look into it. Especially if you're gonna bolt some sticky tires on. Sure is easy and fast to reinforce, but once the perches curl, the job gets big in a hurry.

Nothing worse than having the pinion angle going positive on launch. Things break,

Thanks for the heads up, they are stock yet, that would be a simple update if we haven't screwed up the perches yet. Have 10.5x 29.5 slicks...we've had issues with the way the car drives ever since the slicks were on it and we had 4.88s, 5000 stall and a 560 hp 440...with a lap belt only. Only did one race in the charger, then pulled the drivetrain and bought a race car...the same drivetrain went 10.75@121 in the 70 cuda we use to have and the charger has never been the same driving since. SO tomorrow I am looking at the perches!!!

I hope they're ok. Once they start curling that old pinion is like variable timing. If you can see any clearance under the ends, they could be started. The back side shows the clearance most. I lost a very nice aluminum driveshaft, yoke, joints before catching mine, and then of course the trany comes out to check the sprag.. Good luck!

When your perches gave up what kind of traction device were you using? We are considering caltracs.

I was on split mono leafs, cal tracks and QA1 double adjustable shocks. Cal tracks work good to a point. The more stout you get the more separation too. You need double adjustable shocks on 4 corners. QA1 not advised. Start there. I have since Installed ladder bars and never looked back.

thats for sure! i cut off my perch's last weekend,,along with an old wheelie bar mount,,i'm still sore from that! i bet my neighbors loved the grinder! not as young as i used to be,,waiting for my new strange axles to get here for the reinstall,,,going from race units to street/strip.

i dont...i just tighten front shocks to take wheelie out
previously i had it working nice with bias slicks but i was trying some radials that day..
i want to try more gear (4.88 5.13) what would you suggest

Depends what size rear slick you want to run consistently.
Personally I found 4.30s with a 31 tall slick works best for me.
I wouldn't go any bigger than 4.56s unless you only race 1/8th mile.

ya youre probly right.....the car seems to like lower launch rpm, shift points

ive got some dominators im going to try next year so dont know if that will change anything
