Retiring after 45 years

Congrats! If you don't mind me asking, what have you got in mind to do with all your spare time now?

Awesome man Congrats! Enjoy your last cruise into work and the first cruise of retirement on the way home!

Congratulations on your well deserved retirement. 45 years at the same job is unheard of today, and enjoying it is even rarer !

Congratulations! I retired almost 3 years ago at 55 with 37 1/2 years working for the Army, started at 18 right out of high school. Had people tell me the usual stuff like "You are too young to retire!" "You are going to be bored, don't do it" This turned out to be nonsense, I met my best friend there and we have been together for many years and both of us are retired now and busier than ever. It would be easy to keep working but sometimes you have to know when to get off the ride. Now I have the time to work on my Road Runner.....

Good LucK and Enjoy

That is a bad *** Charger!

Enjoy your retirement.

By my calculations I can retire in 5.5 years when I get my 30 years in with my present employer (at age 57) and I don't really plan to work 30 years and one day.

I did tell them I'd train my replacement, though.

I've heard people say "I wouldn't know what to do if I retired at that early age".

Trust me I've got plenty I can do, and on my own schedule, not on someone else's.

Bob, congratulations!
I see you are in Chesapeake, my son lived in Suffolk for almost 15 years.

Congrats. Hoping your retirement lasts as long as your working career, you've earned it. Great Charger by the way.

Congratulations on your retirement! Enjoy your time and your Charger, you surely earned it! I have 3 years, 10 months,9 days,4 hours, 56 minutes, and 18 seconds to go,not that I am counting!

There is always something to do or needs fixing. I don't go to it, it comes to me. Today I'm going shopping and look for stuff I don't need, I love it, but it requires money to have a free new life style.

Congrats on the retirement and now you will have the time to work even more but now it'll be on your own stuff!! :D

Good for you. Enjoy. I always think about retiring. After all the chemicals I sprayed managing commercial vineyards I hope I live long enough to do so...

Congratulations!! Once I got used to pacing myself retirement became the best job I’ve ever had. Also nice car!!

Congratulations, that is quite an achievement! May you enjoy many years of the retired life with your beautiful Charger.
