Been in the low 70's for the last couple of days which is about 20 degrees above normal. So far no deaths have been reported but 3 have been in NW Louisianna. One death due to a pretty large pine tree falling on a house. As it is, one report in Houston of a pretty large pine tree falling on a house but no one was injured. I guess people don't know about how dangerous stand alone pine trees are in the wind.Stay safe guys.
I cannot imagine how bad it is ...given that I was just outside BBQ'ing some thick Rib-eye's and sausages for dinner. The smoke gently wafted across my icy cold Heineken...and my bare feet were nicely warmed by my smooth concrete driveway.
Seems that bad weather is all over much of the nation lately. The front that went through here is a long ways from being done it seems.

How did you make out? Had gust's when it first hit 60mph+. Got called in early this morning to the hospital for this....I know it's going to be a good one. The wind here is at least 25-30 and gusting to 40 at times and from the SE and the front is still NW of here. It's sucking in a LOT of moisture, that's for sure. Humidity inside my shop 83%. The weather guessers say it's going to be worst on the north side of I-10 and I'm at least 10 miles from that so maybe I'll luck out...again. For some reason, I-10 seems to be some kind of a border but my guess is all the heat from the industry along the ship channel has more to do with that
