any one have what a positive battery cable length would be for '67 charger 440 with mini starter, battery standard location.
thks.

Many vendors have repos. Some have factory repo copper ones, more expensive. jobber ones are available, which are aluminum, copper coloured. Layson`s, Classic Industries, Mr. Moparts etc.

Are you making your own cable? Are you running headers or manifolds? If you are running headers and making your own cable, you may want to measure it out and reroute it around the back of firewall and around the bellhousing area keeping it from the 4th header tube or away from it. I have a repop and run the TTI headers, and the positive goes between the two last tubes and gets hot. I have a heat sock on it to keep it from burning it, but if I were making one I would run it out of that area completely.

You can buy a marine battery terminal (stud) 0 gauge battery cable, and copper terminals very reasonable. You will need a terminal crimping tool (use with a hammer) but, they are not expensive (and the cost doesn't matter anyway-it's a TOOL).

Battery cable must be sized to the needs of your electrical system, too small of a cable will cause excess heat & too long will have a voltage drop..

thank you, I do have doug headers and it looks like cable would go between the 3 and 4th tubes. I am going to have them made at local NAPA store.

If you are making them, I would strongly consider routing it behind all header tubes and back to starter by bellhousing. It will get hot between the two tubes, and if nothing else, will shorten the lifespan of the cable.
