The crew we went to Alaska with a couple of years ago wants to go to Nashville this October. So, what's there to see and do besides Graceland, the Grand Old Oprey & Country Music Hall of Fame? I don't drink so going to bars at night or a distillery tour has zero appeal to me.

Looking at leaving on a Friday & going back home on Monday.

Thoughts?

all that leaves is sports & food :poke:

Leah and I didn't even slow down through Nashville as we hauled North back from Bama. I hate Country music... :)

Germans? Pearl Harbor? Lol...:poke:
The only things I've done in Tennessee is Thunder Valley Dragway in Bristol (MUST GO B4 YOU DIE!) The, THE most amazing sounding 1/4 mile track on the planet! Damn good track too!
Pigeon Forge car shows.
RIPPED UP The Dragon's Tail to Deal's Gap.
White water rafting.
There's TONS to do around Pigeon Forge, but I don't know about Nashville.

Parthenon was cool, if you like Civil War history the town of Franklin is just south of Nashville and has some interesting sites.

Oh heck yea, I forgot about that place!

The Jack Daniel's distillery tour is good for the history - you don't get a drink there ....dry county.
You just have to get you ear in tune to understand the commentary from the tour guides. :poke:

Well then you missed a bunch, as Nashville is an acknowledged serious recording center for about ALL forms of music...
Lots of rock, metal, jazz, etc. top acts record there, for example.

I'd also suggest a trip to Alvin York's Homestead:

Yep, what he said. All of it, although I don't attend the rod runs in Pigeon Forge anymore.
WAY too many people there for my taste, but that's me.
Don't forget Floyd Garret's Musclecar Museum in Sevierville.
They keep over 90 musclecars on display (from folks like Stephens from AL) and have displays from famous
shows like Vanishing Point (complete with the Challenger, still filthy from shooting).

WE don't have the accents around here - YOU do. :)

Boatloads of stuff to get into here in TN. Do your homework!

There is a place called Loveless cafe. They have great southern food. It’s a old motel that they turned into a restaurant.

How about going to a couple of tittle bars? Nobody says that you have to drink.

Start drinking. How about a Dave Ramsey ‘I’m debt free’ scream.

Too bad Gatlinburg is 3 hours East. Tram is awesome ride.
