72 Satellite with ralleye dash that had the big clock. Never liked the clock, to big. Got a tac from Classic industries and replace the clock. Very easy to do but removing the dash gauges makes it easy. I found that dropping the steering column makes the gauge assy much easy to remove.

Looks better with the Tach, and probably more functional than a clock. Nice Satellite, BTW.
 
Got to go with the performance option of having the tach. Looks sweet.
 
You could have also gone this route and kept the clock

Still don’t understand why the reproduction tachs don’t match the Factory Original 7,000 RPM
 
Because all manufacturers such as Autometer makes them on 8K and for simplicity mostly sure reproduction manufacturers get the internal system from the already existing market, and just making the exterior pieces.
 
Looking at your photos I see you did something similar to me with your shifter too, using the 4 speed boot with a pistol grip shifter for an automatic.
Very nice car you have there!
