rare 6 pack Jensen for sale in UK

crappy British design

Designed by Carrozzeria Touring of Italy, but used the old CV-8 chassis.
The first few were built in Italy by Vignale, but the quality was worse than the English built versions.
The car styling is not too bad till the hatchback..

List of Carrozzeria Touring cars:
  • 2012 Disco Volante 2012 (concept car)
  • 2014 Mini Superleggera Vision (concept car)[14]
  • 2017 Artega Scalo Superelletra (concept car)

won't dissuade me from saying that the Jensen isn't a crappy British design.

I'm not a fan of the styling either, but a 440+6 in that thing? Talk about a banzai ride through the English countryside!

It doesn't matter where or who designed it, the drivetrain is what made that car. The rest is not worth the expense, to me. RC is right!! Anyone who ever owned a British or early Japanese car, my 240Z, can tell you, new, they were prone to rust and, hell, every problem known to God. MGB, triumph were an owner's nightmare, in most cases. I realize that it might be rare, but, no thanks.

Most english folks are more in the old saying (during the war ) :). They prefer to restore tanks and trains. With some metal left to work with. Not the tin foil cars. . :D

I wanted a set of those Jensen valve covers for my engine because they were different but the are super heavy and expensive too.

Just saying British Built, not designed.
The Interceptor was a replacement for the CV8 which I think had a fiberglass body?

At the time the Interceptor was being built, Jensen main business was building the Volvo P1800 bodies.
Many of the parts on the car interchange with other cars of the era. I think the door handles were from a Lancia? They are even being reproduced, but a bit pricey at around $1,000/set.
The Lucus wiring/switches are pretty bad.

Technically, the Jensen Interceptor FF was pretty advanced for 1967. In addition to the standard Interceptors rack and pinion steering, and 4-wheel disk brakes, it was all wheel drive and had an anti-lock braking system.
