Looks like a great idea. Way better than the Lowes/Home Depot plastic rope crap they use to secure you load when you buy from them.

This reminds me of all the new engineering designed to eliminate skilled labor and thus make more money for the manufacturers. Skills are nice to fall back on and something to be proud of. I noticed this situation years ago when I was estimating mechanical projects. When I added the cost of labor with the older materials/methods of construction it always came out just a little bit more expensive than the new/improved material added to quicker install time. Thus the percentage of the cost for a particular system went up in the material suppliers favor and down for the man installing.
I can still tie knots!

Listening to those two idiots is enough to make me lose interest quickly.

I wish the DOT would employee me a couple times a year with ticket book in hand to sit out side of big box stores. I get tired of seeing stupid people doing stupid crap.

Watching people attempt to "secure" loads at the big box stores is an insult to those of us that secure REAL loads for a living.

I could be wrong @dadsbee but I don't believe that lift weighs 19,200 LBS. I think that you may have the wrong manual. That base and turret can't be that heavy considering the boom and cage are relatively light. I haul the JLG 1200 quite often. It weighs 40,000 LBS and it is massive. It covers my entire well of the trailer and the boom overhangs the rear deck.
