OER vs SEM vinyl dye/paint

OER black dye over white headrests did not adhere/dye well
Easily scratched and worn on high spots - not truly a dye which penetrates but more of a paint.
This was my experience maybe their paint formulation has changed

Is anyone familiar with this color interior? This is what I have in my 1969, and I assume the seats are the known “saddle” color. What color is the glovebox considered, brown? It wouldn’t be called “saddle”, too, right? It’s clearly not the same as the seats.

Colored interiors originally never matched....It was a collage of similar colors from multiple vendors making the parts....So when you see a car someone cars as 100% original with a blue interior of one color its not correct.

Call Dave Patik at Performance Car graphics for the color you're seeking...

I painted my rear seats and carpet with SEM in '13. Still looks good. Of course prep is key to making the paint/dye stick. I'd recommend SEM.

The trouble with SEM is they don’t specify that their saddle-type color is the “650” Mopar saddle the seats are. Like one of the posters said and evident in my photo, there are many shades of saddle used on various parts, so I’m are having a tough time determining what would match my new legendary seat covers (when I order them) when I paint the headrests. The OER brand actually says “650” and looks close in photos. The Herb’s saddle looks dark on their website.
