Residents threaten, throw shovels at snow plow drivers

I lived in the California Sierra's for four years (Lake Tahoe) and those driveway berms were a pain to clear out, but I was always glad the snow plow came by to make the road passable again. Can't please everyone.

Worst thing that ever happened shoveling snow is the time I tried to use a snow shovel to clear off the glass of one of our vehicles, I ended up blowing out the rear window.

Personally, I'd loop back around and make sure to take out the mailboxes and the cable/phone access boxes. :icon_fU:

They even have a side blade on the damn thing that drops down to keep it from dumping snow in the intersections and driveways. Get bent man try a real snow plow that dumps the **** everywhere with the wing plow and says have a nice day haha!

There is a law here in Pa. about throwing projectiles at moving vehicles. At least the roads are plowed open so the cops can come an arrest the criminals.

Here in Detroit (Wayne County) snow plow drivers have contests who can knock down the most mailboxes :mad:.
After the snowstorm this morning,5-7" I counted two mailboxes hit when I went out for a coffee after snow blowing my driveway.

Then folks whine when they dont get there street cleaned in the spring in front of there homes when there car takes up that space and there to lazy to move it...

As I am in Michigan I can attest to Hotrod20's post, Many folks are armoring their mail boxes and posts, me included. I watch these plow drivers come by at ridiculous speeds and if the snow is heavy/wet it weighs a ton. I'm told the newer county trucks cost $400,000.00 each and look like they hold 10 yards. Back in the old days they moved much slower.

I used to live on a cul de sac about 10 o'clock on the circle so the plow came in going counter clockwise I would get a nice snow mountain. Well...wth are the plowers gonna do...get out and shovel every driveway they pass! There are too many dimwits who really think the entire planet revolves only around them.

The people there have nothing to bitch about, what a bunch of pussies! Now the people of Buffalo NY, S. Bend IN. and others that live in areas that get dumped on by "Lake Effect" snow have a legitimate bitch! Next subject!

They don't all have that $25,000 option!

I speed plow when I can:steering::lol:

I remember years ago some genius news announcer telling people that if they needed a scraper to clear their windshields to use a credit card. Nothing shatters into tiny pieces at twenty below like a credit card. Except perhaps the old music CD that they used to recommend that we carry as an emergency mirror to flash for help.

last winter had stopped by a bud's auto body shop...in rolls a near new Lincoln with these spaghetti like scratches on his hood, deck lid, and roof. A well meaning neighbor was shoveling the walk at the apt complex he lived at...so his neighbor thought he'd clear off the snow from his car...with his aluminum shovel!

Um, yeah...snow, sleet, sub zero temperatures....
