Right next to the headlight switch. What kind of glue "catalyzes" this kind plastic? I have the whole cluster out for cleaning and an in house restoration job.

I'm a glue master Auggie. Shoot me a pic of the problem at hand. There are several options.
Keep in mind, this old plastic sucks @ss.

Mostly I want to reinforce the part so the crack stays put.

Thanks

I would scuff all sides that don't show, get a good epoxy made for plastic, try to spread the cracks as much as possible to get a little epoxy on the mating surfaces and liberally on the surfaces that don't show then clamp it as best you can. Rubber bands, straps, gravity, whatever it takes. If glue oozes out try to keep it wiped clean on the surfaces that show. Practice before you apply the epoxy and have your game plan down. Then hustle like hell to put it all in place.

If you can get a good acetone from a paint store or mek you can make a very good adhesive mixing it with black abs. It is very useful in making a supporting brace at the back of 66-70 consoles.
I think they cracked when people , who didn’t have their seat belts fastened kneeled on the console to talk to the people in the front buckets

I've had pretty good luck with JB Weld on grills.

As above scuff the chrome off the back side.....
