NOSTALGIA A/FX LETTERING on my '65 Coronet AWB Hardtop!

That right there is the epitome of COOL!
Always wanted to drive an altered wheelbase....

Looks great really sets the car off.
THANKS Rick! Getting closer to its completion. Next is doing the 2nd hood for it so I can have them there tall stacks! Yahoo! YOU GOTTA BE A BUSY BOY, I'd say!!!! All your work on your AWB must be keeping you warm in the cold MI winter!

Ed , I live near Atlanta now and if I ever get m 65 AFX car done you can take it for a spin . 65 AFX Coronet , on fbbo funnykarman
Atlanta's only about 2-1/2 hours away from me in McCormick SC! Wouldn't drive my coronet there @ 3mpg though. Argh!

That's sweet and so is the color!! Didn't care much for most of the green paint ChryCo used in the late 60's and early 70's except for Sassy Grass and that one took me awhile lol but man, the green on your car is fabulous!! And don't think I've ever seen puke that looked like that!

When I 1st caught the HEMI-ITIS was at National Speedway on Long Island,,,,long gone now:(
It was 70'71 and the 2%rz ,,AWBz and then the funny cars were born:usflag: ALL the fast cars had HEMIs with stacks or BLOWN! That's when I knew someday I would have a blown hemi.:):):)
The closest to an AWB I will ever get is when there is one in the other lane!

Ha! My dear wife Gretchen calls it exactly that...'Puke Green'. Funny too, when I was updating her on the 'lettering' progress, she asked me...'is there enough lettering going on the car to cover ALL of the puke green up?'. Can you believe the audacity of her?!
The green is actually a metallic PPG Citrus Pearl Green Iridescent. I told my wife I've never seen another '65 with that color & she said 'Thank God!'. lol

Think I'd have to tell any wife of mine that if they didn't like the color, they didn't have to ride in it! :D

That car is super cool! Lettering is perfect for it.
I love everything about it!

I have the honor of knowing 'Shottz' Ousley who has been doing race car lettering, the old fashion way, for years! Gotta be the BEST lettering & paint artist in the south.....or anywhere, for that matter!
After adding 'Enderle' 8-Stack injection w/EFI conversion about 18 months ago, the decision was now final to cap it all off with nostalgic lettering that depicts the history of the car back to when it was originally built at the 'Maywood City' assembly plant in Los Angeles County & purchased new at Charlie Allen's Atlantic Dodge in L.A.
Im excited to have the AWB finished very soon & it's looking better than I ever imagined! Completion day is near!
AWSOME !

I have always thought 1969 F8 green met. is a great color when fresh, but it is not after 20-25 years.

I love this shade of green here and such a cool car!!

It is a citrus pearl green color & right now it is 14-year old paint.

Absolutely NOTHING about that car that isn't totally kikass! I love the green. I'm retired from the U.S. Army, so damn near everything I own is green.
I would classify it as Dark BSG (Baby Snot Green) before I would Puke Green. But really neither. It's just a beautiful shade of green, period, and a very period correct shade of green.
And that probably means more than anything...
