Getting back to the subject of BJ, I wonder just how many of those cars in the sale were just restored, built, whatever, by shops scattered around the country that buy a project and take it all the way on their own nickel !??

Relocating a fuel pump/filter is relatively easy fix in my view.
I know you are relatively new and all, but it's common courtesy that if you RED X some to explain your point of contention....not to do what we call a hit and run...
So I would enjoy hearing back from you!

Whenever I've seen a restored car with something so horrendously wrong, it's never that one thing. There are guaranteed to be twenty other things horrendously wrong. So while your claim may be technically correct if read narrowly -- that particular line itself may be an "easy fix" --- the implication was that it might be the only thing wrong with the car. Which I find unreasonably optimistic.
 
This is why I'd never want to drop a wad of cash on a car without a very detailed inspection and documentation (pics) of what was done. Those restoing cars know the endless decisions they encounter as they tear a car down finding what is possibly repairable or where it's necessary to hunt down replacement parts. Can't tell ya how many hours spent hunting for parts whether new (if available) or finding decent ones used. Not new-news to anyone having done restoing, but more to the point is trusting those shops or people who did the resto making these decisions when their motive is to flip the car. Can be a big difference if it's your car to cherish vs wanting to sell it off to make the biggest buck. I know I've worked with so called reputable shops that did crap work going back to redo their work.

Again like I stated earlier if you want a flawless car without any issues to worry about , you probably need to stick to new cars or those priced a lot (2x) higher than the one mentioned. I don't sweat small stuff nor do I panic at the first sign of something not to my standard... it's a car, it's not brain science or rocket surgery...anything can be fixed...
