For sale a 1970 Dodge Coronet 500, 340 with AC (not working). Project started many years ago, but looking to find a new home. Car has been in the family for over 30 years. I purchased the car from my brother-in-law back in 2004, who owned it for about 15 years. My kids (4 boy’s) are getting older and starting to move on with their own lives. They never really got into getting their hands dirty with the older style cars. Kids now a days just want that instant gratification that the newer cars offer. I also own a 1970 Road Runner and a 2018 R/T Durango that I want to spend more time enjoying, which leaves me very little time to spend on this car. Generally, I move it side to side to get the other vehicles out of the garage. Car is located in South Florida, Palm Beach County. The car is in need of body, but below is a small list of the things that I have done over the years.

New gas tank, sending unit and gas line to the carburetor.

New brake lines and master cylinder.

New brake pads, and guts.

New Tires.

Low miles on new TCI trani.

Converted to a Posi rear with 323 gears.

Rebuilt carburetor.

New Carpet.

Front seats are in great shape.

I did my best to come up with comps for a price range, and below is what I found. Based on these, I am asking $12,900. or best offer. I haven’t posted this car anywhere else yet, because I wanted to start here with my B-Bodies family. Any comments or suggestions are welcomed, like is it a fair price, anything that I should change in the write up or where would be the best place to list the car.

1970 Dodge Coronet project car (doesn’t run) for $10,250.

1970 Dodge Coronet Project car (interior is shot) for $10,900.

1970 Dodge Coronet project car for $7,500.

1970 Dodge Coronet, destroyed for $4,500.

Does it run and drive?
Any specific pictures of trouble areas?

I like the 70 Bee and Coronet style. Hood, grills and fenders are hard to find for them, what shape are the ones you have?

Yes, it runs and I try to start it at least every month and move it around so the tires don't get flat on one side. I use to take it out for drives, but I would rather take the Road Runner out so it is kind of like a forgotten step child. There is a 10 pic limit I can post to the website so I had to pic and choose and focused on the work that I did. The hood and fenders are in descent shape, some rust but overall not bad. The car definitely needs body work like rear qtr panels. It's an older picture of the hood, grill and fender, but it hasn't changed much. The scoops are non-functioning, and the under part of the hood is rusted, but can be cleaned up.

fender tag, build sheet , I think you should get 15 all day long if not rotted out.

davek, thanks for the input. It does have it's share of rust spots, both qtrs definitely need replacing along with some other spots. Just not sure how bad, or how much it would take to get it done. Body work was never my thing, I liked working on the mechanics. With that being said it was originally a NY car, and has definitely seen its share of snow. The first thing I did back in 2004 after getting it, was to tear out the interior, sand, scrap and paint the floor and trunk. I'm not looking to hide anything, but I did do some bondo work back in 2013, just so I could take it out of the garage for a quick drive and not freak everyone out. My original plan was to strip it down, send it off to body work, and then spend my retirement days putting it back together.
