Soon to be 66 Coronet Hemi owner

Welcome aboard from Ohio.

Nice! Was it in Alberta, Canada in the last year?
Yes, it was there before it was sold to a dealer in Ontario. Do you know anything about the car? I don't have a lot of details of its history....

So my new ride is finally home as of last week. Not much information came with it, other than engine was built by Jim Gosselin. 472cu in, 18 spline, Dana 60 rear. One work order it did have says "remove 5:57 gears from sure grip unit" and then "install 3:55 crown gear onto carrier". Holy **** 5:57 is harsh. It changed hands at auction in Red Deer Alberta March of 2019. Flyer says: 66K original miles, 150mph speedo, manual disk brakes, iron block, Indy heads, forged crank, rod, Diamond pistons, 10.9:1, runs on 92 pump gas, aluminum 2x4 intake with 2 edelbrock 600cfm carbs, 11" McLeod clutch.

Cam card Howards Cams says solid flat tappet, intake .576" 289 deg, exhaust .562" 297 deg. Don't know much about Hemi's....yet. What level of cam is this? Any idea what this combo could be good for on a dyno? Trip to Shardon Performance in Hugo MN coming soon.

Welcome from southern MN. Nice looking Coronet!

I was at the auction in Red Deer. If this is the same car it was a no sale at the auction. It was a fairly new build according to a friend of the owner. It looked good to me

Looks like the same car alright. Does it have some torque boxes welded in or some kind of frame upgrades?

Yep, that's the car. Dave at Pentastic said he got it at the auction, must have been an after-sale. Dave smooth to deal with, no issues. Everything he said was good, although getting it shipped during the holidays took a long while. Standard A833 four speed. Super, super clean. Got into a hemi and didn't spend too much. No frame upgrades as I can tell. Happy camper.

I really liked the car. If I’d been more prepared I would have bought it! Enjoy it and look into torque boxes for it if you’re going to use all the power.

Welcome from the show me state! Very nice!!

After the snow cleared, took it to Sharadon performance in Hugo, MN. Tuned up the brakes, rebuilt the steering box, gave it a once over. Dyno'ed 492hp at 5450. Yea Buddy!
