Finally got myself a Charger!

:welcome: from the foothills of NE Tennessee!
Looks like you scored a nice one there. We need MORE PICS!

Ask and you shall receive!
Does anyone know what my buckets are from?

The buckets look stock but with some custom 70s era upholstery .
Ten bucks says your VIN starts with XP29G0G.

You are correct, $10 Canadian or U.S.?
So you think they are 70 Charger under the ugly?
Mine is supposed to have the black and white interior C6XW.
Attached is a photo of the code on the seat.

Look at the top of the seats. The picture below is of my original seats recovered with new Legendary skins:

Hi Guys,
Finally got my favourite car in the world, a second gen. Charger.
It's a 70 and it's mostly complete and pretty solid.
Got it running, stopping and primed for now, lots of work still to do but I am going drive it as is.
I like the fact that it's not restored or perfect, it means I can enjoy it and take my time working on it, also it was affordable!
It was originally a 318 Beige car w/ a white vinyl roof, came from Kansas.
Will be asking lots of questions and enjoying learning everything there is to know about the car.
Cheers.

Have fun with that! Nice find.
70 is the best year for the Charger IMHO.

The first 7 digits of your VIN and mine are the same. 1970 Charger 500 with a 318 built in St Louis, MO.
Mine was built in December 1969.
The 500 models were built with floor shift automatic transmissions, bucket seats, vinyl tops and the aluminum trim piece at the taillight panel.
Mine is also a 500 but I put R/T badges on.

Mine is June 6, 1970 must have been near the end of production.

Nice pic from the 90’s. Another 500 convert. Who knew.

Sweet ride, I see you left off the vinyl top, I will probably do the same for now, no hurry to go white on beige.

Ha... Here is one from 2001:

The picture of the finished car is from 2003 but you were close.

The seats did not fit as-is. I made the mounts to fit the floor and the seat tracks.
Vinyl top: That was never a consideration for me. I like these cars without them.

500’s are nice and less common than R/T’s. Keep it a 500.
