Anyone read anything good lately? Any favorites. Ive read a lot of Grisham and Patterson and for Christmas my wife bought me "Killing Reagan" by Bill O'Reilly. Recommendations???

Robert E. Lee books
First one I'm reading: Clouds of Glory: The Life and Legend of Robert E. Lee, by Michael Korda

Just went through the first 4 Marcinko 'Rogue Warrior' books, again...that magnificent bastard

Fearless The Adam Brown Story. A true story written about the life of a truly extraordinary Navy SEAL originally for Arkansas. He was a man of faith and it is really awesome what GOD did through Adam Brown. The book is supposedly being made into a movie but details of the release are sketchy. I recommend this inspirational read to anyone.

Just finished this one.

Covers March and April of ‘45 after the capture of the bridge at Remagen and the breakout east.
Discusses the impact of Eisenhower’s decision not to drive to Berlin and instead encircle the Ruhr, the collapse of the Wehrmacht in the West, and the marginalization of the British forces in NW Europe.

Covers both sides well. There is a lot of text on Field Marshall Model and his decisions between fighting on in the face of defeat and surrender. Covers tactical, strategic and political topics without bogging down in too much detail. Recommend for the WWII ETO reader.

Started reading this book too. There was a series of books released in 1946 about Chrysler Corporation involvement in WWII. This one is about the work done on RADAR mounts. I’ve also read the one on how many bullets Chrysler made. I think there is one on producing tanks.

Is anyone familiar with this series? How many books are there and what topics?

Was laid up a couple weeks with a bulged disc.

Failure Is Not An Option by Gene Kranz. A bit technical but great read if you like the space program. A different twist looking at it from the mission control side.

The most recent books Ive read is " The Irishman", much better than the movie
"In Hoffa's Shadow"
"The Broken Road". George Wallace and a daughters journey to reconciliation. Written be Peggy Wallace Kennedy. A very good read
I just started "All the Gallant Men". By Donald Stratton. Mr Stratton is a survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor and was on the USS Arizona. This man is 98 years old. This is also starting out as one of those books I can't put down

If I sit still long enough to read I fall asleep....

How Much better is The Irishman? I thought the movie was horrid and I typically love mob flicks. I’d go for,the book if it’s a page turner - the movie was just poorly done. I know it’s up for an Oscar but I hated it. Usually really love a cast like they had but......
