I have been in the process of restoring my 70 Bee for the last several years and had always planned on putting a go wing on it even though it wasn't optioned for one. I have since had second thoughts about this addition and would like some feedback, photos, opinions or threats to help me sway one way or another? The car is FJ6 Green Go with a Ledger Green reverse C Stripe and white interior . I hate to desecrate a perfectly good deck lid while installing a Go Wing only to find out later that I hate it? If I only had a spare deck lid...

I personally never liked those wings on any body style. Always seemed like a Rickey Racer add on to me.

Find a spare deck lid, put the wing on, attach it to the car and see how ya like it. If not, you can always go back to the original look. See if you can find any pics of same car with a wing or try to see one at a show or cruise-in this season. Personally for me, the original winged cars from 69 & 70(Daytonas & Superbirds) that optioned with the wing should be the cars to have them, but to each his own. No matter what you do in this hobby, there is always someone that will find something they don't like about a car. I have a 73 Charger Rallye, I love it, but there are folks that don't care for that style or look. I don't care. I even entertained the idea of putting in a new hemi engine, but its a numbers car so I left it as is. I think your car will look awesome with or without the wing. Good luck and drive that car as much as possible.....:steering:

IMHO, Definitely not on a 70. Looks wrong. About the only car they look marginally acceptable on is 71/72 charger/bee/runner, but even then it’s touch and go.

As I have said before the wing makes it look like a shopping cart.

keep in mind that it was optional in 1970. it wasn't just some Mickey mouse add on that people do. I had one on mine and I liked it because it went well with the black C stripe , black interior , sport mirrors and Rallye wheels. it's not for everyone so definitely find every picture you can find and go from there. if YOU like it , do it.

Why care what someone else thinks, If you like it then run with it and let the haters hate...
It's your thing do what ya wanna do :usflag:

I do however, agree with Moparmaniac.. Its your car, do as you please.

Agree. It's your car so do what you want but since you asked, I never cared for a wing on anything but the E bodies

I know this will piss off a lot of people, but to me, the Go Wing looks like something from J. C. Whitney. But, your car, your money.

I like them on 70 B bodies, most here don't. I did one on an extra trunklid that already had the holes drilled in it.

No go-wing. These cars have good lines, they don't need spiffing up (think of a pretty girl with too much make-up, dyed hair, etc.).
One question I have about go-wings is, do they work? If I found that they improve aerodynamics I would re-think my opinion of them.
As the English might say, "don't tart it up."

Aerodynamics on a brick.
