Great stuff. I think the demise of cool drag-racing, was the early 80's and all the cookie cutter rules for the pro classes. I know some stuff became obvious to work the best....but it hasn't been the same since.
 
I miss the good old days of street racing. Yes it was dangerous but it sure as hell was fun back in the day. Now days I have to change my underwear whenever I stomp on the GTX. Besides the fact that times have changed and it just isn't kosher any more to do it on the street. I enjoyed the strip back in the day too but there isn't any around here anymore. They've all closed down.

Miss those days, great pictures. We street raced on a seldom used road below a bridge. We would meet around midnight and stay until the cops came to chase us out. Only problem there was there was only one way out, and sometimes they would set up a road block on the exit road. They would slowly come down where we raced with lights on and catch us as we came around to the exit road. A lot of muffler and inspection tickets were given out. :)
