They Gone and Done It!! Planters is killing off its Mr. Peanut mascot

He's been neutered, and now he's PC ,now known as Transgendered Peanut! Simulated nut taste with no real nuts at all in the product!

Planters has changed the way they mix their Deluxe Mixed Nuts, and not for the better. They are now about 60% almonds 20% cashews 4-6 pecans and the rest are trash nuts. No Brazil nuts at all. My 4-6 big cans a year have been cut down to maybe 1. I guess Mr. Peanut is among the dying breed. Planters was the best brand out there, but not so much anymore.
 
10 years from now they may not even be able to market them as nuts as that would be gender specific :lol:

Planters hasn't been Planters for a while. Its Kraft Heinz Foods.
In 1960 Standard Brands bought it, then NABISCO then Kraft and then Kraft and Heinz merged.
And we know who is associated with them.
My son used to live a few blocks from their Suffolk, VA plant and his b-I-l worked there a bit.
Roasting peanuts smell pretty good.
