This is on my 1967 Coronet 440 4dr.

Tun signal flasher per FM "The turn signal flasher is a plug in type mounted to the right of the steering column, under the instrument panel" page 8-75. I looked under there and don't see anything. Do I need to remove something from the dash or the a/c ductwork to get find it/get to it? The issue with these is the left signal flashes fine, the right gets bright but does not flash.

Emergency flasher per FM "on the lower edge of the instrument panel just below the left side of the glovebox on Coronet and Charger models" page 8-76. Same issue as with flasher, I cannot see it. Do I need to remove something from the dash or the a/c ductwork to get find it/get to it? The issue here is no flash at all. Doesn't get bright/flash.

From 1967 Dodge Dart, Coronet, Charger Service Manual.

Thanks all.

The turn signal flasher is common to both sides.
If one side works correctly the flasher should be OK. There have been quite a few threads concerning this subject and some good info has been posted by members. Have a search, some of that info may be able to help you out.

In 67 both flashers are clipped into holders that also clip into the dash frame. Stick your hand up behind the lower dash frame and feel the lower edge.

Thanks for the replies. I had to pull out the front bench seat to even get on the floor under the dash. I've got plenty of room now and have run my hand everywhere possible without removing the a/c ductwork. I still cannot find either flasher. I did a lot of searching on other posts n saw that a "weak" turn signal flasher will have the symptoms mine has. I've ordered 2 new flashers. Now I just need to find the old ones. The descriptions are appreciated but are similar to the manual. And "on top of the ash receptical" is impossible for my hand to get up there. Hope that's not actually where 1 is at. I need an 80 lb grandkid who can crawl under there for me n find it!!!

Seems from what the boys are saying find one find both. Good luck
This is why it takes soooo long to put back in order

Ok, great suggestion on the turn signal. Listened to it and it is coming from glove box area. Unfortunately, completely covered by factory a/c ductwork, only a 1 inch slit between bottom of dash and ductwork. Had to pull cover for ductwork, then 2 fingers to grasp it and finally get it out. Now to find the emergency flasher. Red wire goes into a bundle wrapped in black.

Ok, found both. Both behind the panel that covers the a/c ductwork on passenger side. Both attached to the lip w a small clip. Turn signal is supposed to be attached to the side of the ash tray per service manual. Not even close. Well turn signals work now but emergency flashers still don't. On to the switch and spark chasing for that.

Does the emergency switch bezel nut require a special tool as the Service manual says or can it just be twisted off?

Answering my own question. Yes, it does need special tool. Same one used for antenna.

Used a jumper on the plug that goes to the emergency switch. Everything works. Soooooo, bad switch. Hoping I can find a new one that matches the old one. This was my Great grandmother's car, then my grandmother's then mine. It has 92k original miles.

You can take the switch apart and clean it. Just takes some patience but there’s nothing complicated in there. Maybe a spring.

Was just looking at that. 4 tabs, no wiring inside, just contacts. Clean it up, put it together n away we go. Thanks.

Yep. That’s it. I had mine apart, seem to recall a spring but that may have been another switch I had apart. Make sure you test the switch with a ohm meter too.

Yep, had a spring. Came jumping out but easy to figure out. Scrubbed all contacts and the copper sliding piece. Tested it and all good. Assembled and put back in and all works great. Now I need to figure out the reverse lights. I found the switch at the firewall end of the steering column on the top side of it. I guess I try a jumper there 1st to see if it's the switch and then go from there. Thanks all for the replies.
