My Charger is getting ready to come out of paint and body. Looking for tire wheel combos. Im sure there is a post somewhere with what I need but I cant locate it.
My setup,
69 Charger, stock front and rear
Looking for 245 front and 295 rear setup
Wheel range 16-18 inch
Need ideas including back spacing.
Images would be a great plus

Here's mine with 245/40/18 with 4.75" backspace & 295/40/18's with 5.5" backspace.

The 295's do rub a little only on the big bumps. I used to have 285/40's and no issues with those so I might go back to that size when the time comes for new tires.

Your car is very nice. Thank you for the information and I'm guessing your rims are 8 and 10 inches wide.

Have you ever run 18x8 on front with 5 or 4.5 inch backspacing

4.5" will work depending on how low you have it. Too low and it might contact the brace inside the fender but if it is at a normal height it shouldn't be an issue. 5" pushes the wheel in too far and will rub at full lock.

Diameter is not correct but tire width is.

Rear 15x10 5.5" backspace

Front 15x8 4" backspace

Tires-

245-60-15 and 295-50-15

Rear 15x10 5.5" backspace

Front 15x8 4" backspace

Red Stripe & INTMD8:
What suspension setup are ya’ll running to get that stance up front? Curious if you did drop spindles, what torsion bar diameter, did you adjust the torsion bar height or dial it in stock?

My 68 is at the stage where I need to decide on all my front suspension stuff.

Mine has stock spindles. I think 1" torsion bars, I will measure. Listed as "hemi" torsion bars on receipts that came with the car.

Super stock leaf springs with 2" drop spacers.

I adjusted the front torsion bars to get the ride height I wanted but I think it's mostly from being squished down by the weight of an iron hemi.

Paint looks awesome!

Mine is all Hotchkis parts with stock disc spindles. Torsion bars are 1.1" and are set up for a lowered stance.

Thank you to both of you gentlemen. Sweet looking rides ya’ll have, I can’t wait til mine is done and on the road.
