I found this site and joined just a couple of days ago. I have a '70 Charger R/T that I have owned for 25 years now but I think our time together is coming to an end. I am getting up there in years and I find it increasingly difficult to keep up with the demands of a car that is half a century old. Having said that it has been a fun and challenging experience. I acquired this car in '95 from a coworker whose son could no longer work on the car and who was tired of it sitting in the yard. Initially some effort went in to undoing some of the young man's work, wrong front wheel hubs, completely messed up rear end, etc. Over the years there has been a lot of work on the body and the interior and some mild performance upgrades, four speed transmission replaced 727, intake manifold, carb, headers etc. I have enjoyed driving the car on weekends and it attracts positive comments where ever it goes. There are two kinds of comments that I get a lot of at the gas pump. First a guy my age comes over and tells me that he had a Charger when he was in the Navy. The next type is the skateboarder who says "Cool car dude, what's under the hood?" while looking at the giant 440 callouts on the hood. I have posted some additional information on the photo garage forum. I look forward to communicating with other B Body folks.
