Hello all just joined . I am Dave and I have a 72 Charger 318 Topper X . I have owned for 5 years and love it very much. I have just got a 4 bbl manifold and carb to fit . I would like to find out how many Topper cars were produced if anyone knows ? I did ask Mr Mark Worman on his live chats on FB but he said nobody knows?

Got this from another site... Not my post but maybe it will help you.

"Dont pay extra for the car because of the Topper X crap. #1 I dont believe the 1-200 baloney. I think some of that hooey was "invented" by a young lad on D-C.com a few years ago. One of those deals where someone made up stuff to make their slightly "interesting" car seem like a real rarity. At the time, I was amused how many people took the kids word to be the "truth" 2nd...as you said its still a 318/bench car. Is the car green with a "mock turtle" vinyl top?
I have owned 2 of them, turned down the chance to buy a 3rd, seen pics of a couple more, and seen another 2-3 on eBay. That leads me to believe the 200 figure is bogus. Even if true, I dont believe it adds any significant value to an otherwise "undesirable" model."

So after reading and filtering out the rubbish. Is there a difference between a Mock Turtle roof and a Gator Grain roof? Or are they the same thing? I believe my car is a Topper X car with Gator Grain roof.
 
Nice Charger. What exactly is a Topper X car?
