I have been left pulling out my hair over the last week. I normally deal with summit or rock auto but most recently I bought from JEGS through their eBay page. While I am waiting for a few parts to be done for my new engine build I decided to give my satellite a much needed bit of tlc in the form of a new trunk floor. I went with the two section as I’m not replacing quarter skins or tail panel.
Jegs came out on top as the cheapest for shipping costs and I also was able to prepay importing duties which can be quite large. Well a week later my parts arrive. I was like a child at Christmas with the excitement. I opened up the first box which was an AMD box and in it was the left trunk panel half and it looked amazing. The second box was a slightly larger box which I thought was strange. I opened it to find the AMD box inside it already opened. I took the right panel out and it looked like waves in the ocean with bends. Let’s say I wasn’t happy and that’s when my investigating kicked in. I checked the outside box which was perfect and not a single dent or mark could be found. All there was on the box was my address label and a jegs item discription label. I removed the inner AMD box and found someone else’s name and address stuck to it. I promptly contacted jegs who denied the item was a return to them even after reviewing the photos I sent of someone else’s details. They told me to file a case with the shipping company as jegs won’t deal with international cases. I filed a dispute case with eBay who passed me onto PayPal who first informed me jegs would have to pay for a return if I win but have since contacted me with terms and conditions station if I win I must pay return costs.
Has anyone else had issues before with jegs?

I would just TELL THEM that you recieved a returned product.

They denied it ? Have these CLOWNS not heard of of a little concept called....

"THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT"

First, demand to speak to management. The goons they have working the phones seem to be missing the mark....

If the higher-ups dont want to make it right then take it up with your bank.

Dont accept anything other than a replacement and make sure you dont give them a penny more, not for shipping, not for anything.

I personally have not had issues like this with Jegs. Customer support has always been decent, like with Summit. I worry that the Ebay branch may not be 100% tho, and maybe they do treat it like more of a "flea market" environment if you know what I mean. I would hate to think that a normally upstanding vendor would bully an international customer, just because they know how difficult a fight is, from your end!! If you chat with them on the phone, don't be a dick, but remind them that you are very well connected to the international automotive community, and you will keep us posted as to how this goes! Good Luck, Lefty71

I can get a flight over with the panel for the same price as shipping it but I’m afraid I might loose my mind and end up in jail if I went to them. I never dealt with them directly only the eBay page but you could be correct regarding the flea market environment. In total the panel cost me over $400 after paying all my importing fees and shipping but they only offered me $75 refund. Not once did they offer a replacement. I most definitely will keep everyone posted regarding the situation. I am just shocked that such a large company don’t really give a crap about reputation

You might mention that you're a FBBO member. Strength in numbers.

Send the box back to them you got some ones order and yours must be lost somewhere. That way they can pay for everything.

Never any issues here. I had a similar situation with wheels last summer. One showed up with a nick in it. Called them up and 10 min later had a new wheel on the way and a call tag issued.

Couple things:
Why did you buy from Jegs via eBay? I would just go direct, never saw a price break.
How bad is it? Take the $75 and straighten it out.

Got a link to the original eBay ad/auction?

Yeah, I guess I don’t get why Jegs would be on eBay, unless it would be to sell returns or overstocked or damaged items?

Everyone is on eBay now.
Summit and Jegs included. It’s not all return stuff. You can buy anything they sell through eBay.
It’s part of it these days. They don’t want to miss out on the folks who like buying on eBay.

That sucks, I always prefer Summit over Jegs. You have to be the squeaky wheel and ask to talk to someone up the food chain.

Why did you buy from Jegs via eBay
The reason for buying feomjegs eBay was I could prepay my customs importing fee. If I wait to pay for it on delivery they add more fees to it and about a month later I get more bills for admin charges. It's bad enough that $75 won't cover the cost of a new one. Hopefully I get it sorted but judging by what other people are saying dealing direct with jegs is the way to go in future

I would contact PayPal again and ask for a supervisor. Unless the listing stated as 8s or no returns PayPal will probably rule in your favor.
As far as Jegs goes I've always had great service with them. Also panels are typically shipped directly from their supplier (AMD) in this case.
Keep working with PayPal and Ebay.

I would not worry too much about it. Sounds like you have a good case. It might just be a matter of finding the right person at jegs to talk to.

I've never had to do the whole eBay or PayPal dispute ever before but when the case goes to PayPal communication between tebuyer and seller is finished with and it's I the hands of PayPal. The whole problem about that is PayPal will demand a return of the item even if the seller doesn't want a return and I have to pay the cost of that.
Judging by people's comments I will need deal with jegs eBay again and just deal direct with them from now on or else just stick with summit

PayPal has always made the seller pay by refunding me 100% on disputes. That why I said ask for a supervisor and provide them with your pics and documentation.

Why not order at Moparshop in Germany?
he's an official AMD dealer ?

there was a 4 week wait on the left panel and I was in a hurry. Look where that got me now. What other stores are there in Europe apart from six pack speed shop in Holland and moparshop in Germany?

May help if you contact AMD and explain whats going on with one of their vendors.
