Thanks for the add, going to look at a 10 year old restoration '66 Charger, stock other than having a 440, my first MOPAR. I'll have a lot of questions, starting with how can I beef up the differential, it currently has a non-posi, not sure what size yet. Larry

Howdy, lived in South Anchorage near the bluff from '76 until I retired from CES Elmendorf civil service in '09. Moved outside, TX and WA for 6 years then back up in 2016 for granddaughters wedding. That was all it took for us to move back, made an offer on a new construction home here in Wasilla, the builders daughter was on our two grandson's hockey team. Went back to Eastern Washington, sold our home there, and here we are now, Wasilla/Meadow Lakes off Pittman Road.

You took a big hit on Turnagain Arm in '64, glad I missed that one, I was a senior in HS getting ready to leave for Marine Corps boot camp. Also disabled retired from the Corps from my second 13 month trip to Vietnam.

Thanks for your service, especially going to the Nam! I was a kid in 1964 - 1st grade. My dad was AF and he was stationed at Elmendorf too. We were at Shepard AFB in TX before AK. I was in CES my entire 28 years as well. Flew through Anchorage on the way to and from Kunsan AB. Always was a beautiful place up there! Enjoy it again!

Welcome to FBBO from SoCal - heading up your way the end of May. Lived there back in the early 70s.

post a pic of your rear end so we can see what you have then we can go from there. 8 1/4 or 8 3/4 you might just have to change the center pumpkin to get posi, easy job.

Welcome from North Carolina. Thank you for your service. That's a real nice 1st Gen. Charger.

Welcome. Posi is Sure Grip in the Mopar world.

welcome to FBBO
from a former Palmer & Anchorage resident, early mid 80's
also worked at Elmendorf AFB & Ft. Richardson bases

Welcome Larry.
That is a pretty car, I like the wheels.
If it was originally a big block car 361 or 383 then it would definitely have an 8 - 3/4" rear.
Yes it could be upgraded to a trak-lok or sure grip but note that if you change the ratio you will need to change the speedometer drive gear as well.
FYI - perhaps you know, but they originally had a stainless rocker molding.
