I consider myself fairly competent at decoding fender tags but I can’t find the data to decode this 64 Plymouth Belvedere that I believe is a street wedge, any help is greatly appreciated

If the fourth digit in the V.I.N. is a 1 then the car was built at lynch rd. If that is the case then the 14 under the AB is the code for a 426 street wedge and the 3 under the C is an 833 four speed.

14 under the AB = code (14), 426 1bbl, 365 hp, HP, 10.5:1 cr

3 under the C = code (343) 4 speed, A833 Floor Shift

1 under the G = code (361) Radio, Music Master economy

5 under the J = code (385) Heater, Front with Defroster

2 under the V = code (652) Vehicle Sales and Delivery (Sold Car, Expedite)

(These are if it's a Lynch Road. Codes fall in this direction)

Thanks, that all matches the car. Any idea on the upper row or the 322 M10 LL on the bottom row?

First off, make sure the fender tag belongs to your car. The body code on the rad. support should be 4 1 1227 0340. The 322 is a plymouth belvedere 8 cyl. 2 dr. hardtop. The M1Q is medium price cloth and vinyl bench seat in turquoise. LL is the paint code for dark turquoise metallic for the body and roof. The upper row, I don't have any info on.

I am having the same problem decoding the fender tag also... but I will start another post dealing with it.... so many veteran Mopar guys.

Tell me about your car

It was sold new in California and at some point converted to a Max Wedge car. The car was restored in Wisconsin and somehow Made it’s way Chicago and the Max wedge parts removed. It was then bought by a guy in Salem Virginia and he later consigned it to Streetside Classics in Nashville which is where I got it from. It’s ironic since there is a branch of Streetside Classics here in Charlotte but they were out of space at the time so the gentlemen consigned it to Nashville instead. Too bad for me since it would have saved me two trips to Nashville. Future plans are to remove the 440 and replace it with a bored and stroked 426 wedge. BTW, I have a 65 426 block but I’m still looking for a reasonably priced 64 426 street wedge block to use instead.
