JEGS disappointment

there was a 4 week wait on the left panel and I was in a hurry. Look where that got me now. What other stores are there in Europe apart from six pack speed shop in Holland and moparshop in Germany?

So a quick little update. PayPal made contact today to say I have won the dispute and to receive a refund for the purchase of the part I have to return the item to jegs. They won’t be issuing me a refund for the original postage or the customs duty I had to pay which they stated to me on the phone at the very start of the dispute I would receive. I have till feb 16th to return the item and the cost came to €566 or $621. I have disputed this claim with PayPal as I have a recording on my phone from the day that the dispute started stating from a PayPal operative that I would be refunded the purchase price, shipping and customs price also if the item was to be returned the seller would have to pay for the return.
As I have said already judging by other people’s comments maybe jegs aren’t all that bad. Just their eBay page is run by idiots (possibly). PayPal seem to be the ones making a mockery of the whole situation.

Now a days, even with places like paypal that have generally good customer service, they usually try to give you as little as possible to begin with and hope that makes you happy enough that you wont bother them anymore. That's becuase so many people try to get stuff for free and take advantage.


What kind of banking situataion do you have. Is it a debit card or credit card hooked up to paypal?

Depending on the above you may have better luck with the bank.

If anything else, I would keep going up the chain of command and making a stink with paypal... if its worth it to you.

explain to them that you are not some from freeloader and that you just need to make this right becuase you were essentially ripped off. Not only that they are wasting your time.
 
I am disappointed with jegs too. I ordered a alternator that i needed to make a race date and a few other things that I ordered to make the order free shipping . The alternator I received was complete garbage . The pulley was loose on the shaft , the nut was crossthreaded, the shaft buggered. It wasn't packed correctly, it was obviously previously returned, and then re-shiped without inspection.
When I called customer sevice, they gave me a return authorisation , but I had to order another to try to get one in time for the race. They would credit my account when they received the garbage back.
Didn't get the good part in time.
When I looked at my invoice, the charged more for the second alternator, and for shipping.
In a note with the return, AND on the r/a form they wanted back , I told them I wanted credit for the higher priced item and shipping refunded, because it was their screwup, not mine.
Didn't happen.
I guess Summit only, from now on. Their website is much better too.
 
I haven't bought anything from Jegs for years. With Summits delivery time of 2 days to me and their outstanding customer service, it is hard to beat them. I have had a couple of defective parts over the years that came from Summit. Everytime there is no questions asked and a new part is shipped out immediately. No charges whatsoever. A prepaid return label is sent if they want the part back. Couldn't be happier with them.
 
I’ve used Summit for everything possible. Jegs, Year One, Mancinis only as necessary. Haven’t been disappointed yet. eBay is a last resort vendor.

Its a debit card i have linked to pay pal. I know with the credit card i can fight the charge but debit card charges are a different story.
Im esclating this high up the paypal ladder as i have used words like fraud, robbery and lawyer in my last message to them so that will shove this case up a ladder fairly swiftly..........hopefully
I told them im not out for free parts. This is something i require and as soon as this is resolved i will be buying another one if jegs do not offer to replace it.
I recieved a mail from paypal stating they tried to call me and i informed them that i dont take kindly to lies as i had no missed calls yesterday so i am expecting something else today from them. Ill post updates as they come along.

Screenshot your caller list on the days/times they claim they called....it will pay off later for you.

I did exactly that when I had a dispute with a former colleague who supplied me parts. Ended up in the Small Claims Court....my screenshots proved to the Judge that I had done what I said...and the other guy was lying. She also had a good giggle at the image I used for my former colleague. (Fat Bastard from the Austin Powers movies.). I supplied him electrical parts, and he offered me a projector.

I got a good giggle out of that myself. Well unfortunately no call or email as of yet. Seeing as it's a Friday the office work hours usually finish at 2.30 or 3.30 and it's currently 3pm here now. I will be extremely shocked if I hear from them in the next half hour unless they have a plan to send an email at the last moment of the day and then not have to worry about it till Monday. I actually had it before where a company returned my call 5mims before closing but just made my phone ring once and then hung up. That was for an insurance claim against another person who crashed into my satellite in an empty carpark. That case went on four years. Hopefully this won't continue on even four more days
 
So I just received a reply from paypal. They state that seeing as I used their service I must pay return shipping. It states so in their fine print. I left them a nice little reply. Sorry but I am unable to rotate the photo so just turn your screens sideways
