Ebay?!?!

I did buy a 56 Ford F100 of Ebay about 15 years ago. I'm in Mass. and it was in West Virginia. A long ride. The guy did say that if it wasn't everything he said it was then I didn't have to buy it. I did make the trip and it was pretty nice so I bought it. Again that was 15 years ago. I just see too much overpriced stuff on Ebay now. Everything is gold.

Found mine on eBay.
It was local, so I bought it privately.
Called the owner and went to see the car.

The thing that eBay gets you, is a giant pool of potential buyers.
I’m sure lots of cars change hands outside of eBay after the buyer and seller make contact through eBay.

I don't recall seeing a 62 or 63 with these wheels. It looks fantastic, I would have thought it wouldn't for some reason.

I sold a car in ebay 2 years ago, I still keep in touch with the guy. Had that car forever.
I advertised it with a starting bid of my bottom dollar, which was fair value for what it was, and it got two bids.

Buyer beware, but also seller beware. It helps to talk to or meet potential buyers.

They were on his RR, and when he Resto'ed it, he went with a different set. The size and fitment really woke the car up, appearance wise...

I bought my current ride on ebay. The seller was local to me too so I gave him a deposit thru paypal and then paid the balance in person. He drove the car to my house, insisted I inspect it and drive it to my satisfaction with the option of not buying it. I obviously did and drove him home. He's a great guy and we're still in touch. A year after I bought it, he found the fender tag that was taken off when he had it painted. Called me right away. He's a true blue mopar guy.
