Flu closing schools

Many local schools are closing due to illness. I've been watching the delay & closing notices scroll across the tv screen all night. Anyone experiencing this in your area ? Why the huge jump in sickness ?
 
I came down with influenza "A" after Christmas that landed me in the hospital for 5 daze!!

That sucks,,its coming around here. I want none of that.
 
My daughter is studying to be a Physician Assistant. She just started her clinical rotations. Her first one is in an emergency room in a NYC hospital.
So of course I told her to be careful with the corona virus, blah blah. She said the bigger threat is exposure to the flu and they hammer into them
how to protect themselves and other patients.
 
Went to Costco today woman had a mask on, for flu or Corona virus ?
 
My brother just got out of the VA in San Diego after having a major bout with the flu. He was just leveled by it for about 3 weeks. He’s back at home now and doing well but said it was the worst illness he’s ever had by far. I want none of that thank you.....
 
We got sick on the last days of a cruise from Florida to San Diego. We wore masks on the flight home as a courtesy to the other passengers. We hacked our guts out the whole way. The damn thing lasted over a month - the illness, not the flight!! Don't know what it was but I don't want it again!! We find out that on the next druise the same ship had a norwalk virus outbreak!! On the news they say that influenza kills 1000 people annually in Canada. Probably 20 times as many in the US. Sure, we want to stop the spread of coronavirus but its not that big of a threat ... yet!!
 
There's more "outbreaks" because there has been more and more push of the vaccinations. Vaccinated people shed the virus for weeks after their shot to the rest of us. Simply put...more vaccinated people = more cases of the flu= more flu scares=more people thinking they need a flu shot=more shots= more exposure to others= more outbreaks=more money for BIG PHARMA. Follow the money, please think about it.
 
Childhood diseases are going up because of kids not being vaccinated . Don't think your reasoning is sound. Just my opinion.

No major flu epidemic around here yet. Well, I have had some Family members that have had it this winter and they say it was nasty. What ever happened to Anthrax? At one time it was everywhere. Everyone was going to die from it then poof, all gone?

My 93 year old mom too. She got dehydrated from losing so many fluids.

Now its about vaccinations spreading the flue and big pharmacies. Let me see if I have it corrrect.
Big pharmacies want us to get the flue so the virus is secretly put in the vaccination and then when you get the flue, the doctors prescribes this Tamiflu medicine and they make even more money.... I cant believe what some people subscribe to, its downright scary.
Wash your hands with soap and water before you eat, after you come in the house, use disinfectant wipes on door knobs bathroom, everywhere,dont touch your face with unclean hands, get your FLU SHOT and eat right and get your sleep
 
Get your flu shot!
They don't have a clue of which virus will be going around so which strain is in the vaccines?
Every time I have had a flu shot I got deathly ill.
Do some research on what has been found in vaccines and what the medical industry is telling us.
 
The company I worked for offered flu shots years ago when they used live virus in the vaccinations. I was mildly sick afterward, didn't get another until dead virus vaccinations started. I've had vaccinations for the last 15 years no problems.
As always you can do as you like.

I'll address in order.....Yes, they make billions$ on people getting the flu. The virus is not secretly put in (the virus is what makes the vaccine), plus it's the adjuvants that weakens our natural, GOD-given immune system. Yes, I agree....hygiene, nutrition, and proper rest is the answer! Skip the flu shot! Real life example...I stopped by a neighbor's farm a few weeks ago. The wife and husband had the flu. Their 4 grandchildren were there, they all had the flu. Both parents of the children had the flu. I asked the grandparents if they got the flu shot. "Oh yes we all did and the children got their's before school started", was their reply. Why would all 8 vaccinated people get the flu? That's 100% failure rate?
