I was comparing the new wiper motor harness I bought to my old wiper harness and noticed that the old one has an extra plug on it, for the automatic transmission. My question is, which one is incorrect? The original looks pretty original. Where is the trans harness supposed to plug into?

You can move the old 2 wire plug to the same slots in the new harness.

they make a tool but some do it with a small screw driver. Its a PITA but can be done.

were did you buy the new wiper harness

How do they comes out? I couldn’t figure it out

Take needle nose pliers and squeeze each side of the terminal together, then slide it out the back of connector. Take a small screwdriver to re-expand the terminal so it clicks into the new connector shell.
Before installing in the new connector shell, Clean it up. Let it soak in a container (I use the cheap disposable plastic containers from the supermarket, Glad?) anyhow use a combination of water, dish soap and lemon juice and let it soak a day, then light scrub and rinse. This will pretty much remove the oil, dirt, and grease on the connector shell and wires, while the lemon juice will remove the oxide on the copper connectors.

Cool! Thanks!

A small jeweler’s screwdriver will depress the tab on the terminal so that it can be removed from the plastic terminal block.

I think the last two connector cavities are for (A - Dark Blue) A/C Clutch, and (B - Dark Green) Heater Fan motor?
Cavity C should be the black Reverse light switch return, Cavity D s/b Violet reverse light +12v power?

I have a spread sheet for '69 Coronet with the bulkhead connectors mapped out. Makes it easy to look up.

I think he wants to remove the male connectors? Depressing the tab with a small screw driver is for the female connectors.

Any way I could get a copy of that?

You’re right, the word tab probably isn’t the right term for the prong on the side of the male terminal. But I do use a small screwdriver to remove both styles of terminal.

I know what you mean now :)
Many wiring questions lately. Dang 50+ year old wiring harnesses.

See the groove on top of the terminal? The terminal slides in from the rear, and "catches." You poke a small driver down in this slot from the front to release the tang/ finger / latch

I think the image will be self explanatory

the smaller "leg" its also the retainer on housing. Once bent will allow to be pulled out. Then expand it back before clip it into the new housing
