Unfortunately, things beyond my control were delayed with the garage & this is not the ideal time of year to do that. However, the long range forecast is predicting temps in the 40's for through New Year. They're going to drape plastic over the garage doors and get some propane heaters going in there. Looks like they'll start rocking next week....hopefully Monday.

Oh, and that's a pontoon boat in there.

136 sheets of 4' X 12' X 1/2" sheetrock are out there. They say it'll be up in 2 days. I'm glad it's not me who's hanging it all.

Lots of progress this week. We have heat, plasterers finished up and the garage doors are on. Trim next week & paint will follow, then finish the electricals.

Is that a water spigot on the wall just right of the center door? That will come in handy.

Did you install a floor drain so you could wash cars indoors in the winter?

Yes, that is a spigot. There's one one the inside too. No floor drains allowed in a garage here, so I'll just get a floor squeegee.

Thanks for the kind words. Trust me, I was there too. When I was young & single, I'd park my car in my parent's (barely) one car garage and work on it in the driveway. When we got married, our first house had a one car garage that was only slightly larger than my parent's. In those early days, when I owned two cars, I had to park one elsewhere.
Sounds like my story, it took years to get here. Few would sacrifice like we did to get to a life of total freedom. Well done!!!

Looks awesome, great milestone. Do you happen to have a thread or pics of the red car?

Very nice 64. Is that a Belvedere or a Savoy? I do find it somewhat odd that it has the optional backup lights.
