So...I know 100 to a 100,000 is generally the way these go...I'm just wondering what yall would consider a good deal if in the market for one.

Here it is...1967 Satellite, factory 383 325hp 4bbl, automatic on the column (runs but needs tlc), 8.75, power steering/brakes/AC, cloth and vinyl buckets with buddy seat. Appears complete, haven't checked fender tags yet, very very straight, wide chrome or stainless trim on bottom of fenders/doors/quarters...heck it even still has its hubcaps. Runs from a bottle but the tank and lines are gummed up. It's not been driven for almost 30 years.

I'm already anticipating scrub or replace the tank and lines. Full tune, replace all rubber hoses/brake lines/shocks/wheel cylinder seals etc. But this appears to be a survivor. I've never ventured older than 68 before...and I know 67s are a whole different animal....but if you had an opportunity to grab one of these...what would you be willing to pay.
I haven't bought it or even seen it yet...but it keeps whispering to me.

No rust? 2dr? Probably 2500-3000 real world/would sell fairly quickly , decent overall condition. 66-67's don't grab big money as projects ( unless rare/hemi etc) in my experience.

The problem is you run across pretty decent running cars for 5-8 right now. I have a thread on here about this issue. I have a 66 charger project for sale.

I love them tho, and the lower prices allow me to play with them

For a solid car, with no evident rust complete and you can hear running IMO 3000-4500. That's just me, I'm a 66-67 fan, especially 67. The Satellite trim being there is a plus for me too. Also no 67 Satellites had cloth panels in the interior, it's all vinyl with the western scroll pattern.
A few years ago I paid 3500 for a 66 Satellite 318 car in similar condition as your describing.

That really surprises me...this is what I'm looking at

If the quarters are good and the C pillar to quarter areas are good, and the frame horns and trans crossmember, and there's none of that crusty from the inside out rust, than I'd say 5-6, and if it runs on a jug, maybe more.

Is it an "H" VIN 383?

I'm with Jerry Hall on this price. I also have a 66 and the prices are much less than a comparable 68 or 69 B Body. Also, should you need any patch panels, etc.....this will become a big problem as they are "scarce as hen's teeth".

You need to see the car and find out what the owner is asking. Has the car been storied indoors in a dry place?
No rust means no rust and if its really a rust free car, all original, not butchered, no major collision damage, good original interior and complete its worth 5 grand tops the way it sits. Your going to put more money than you can anticipate into it but you could wind up with a nice original survivor
The bottom line is worth what you want to pay

It actually looks like it could be original paint.

If that's the case then the value just went way up.

I paid 5 grand for a similar 66,and I wouldn't want to pay more than that for any of them.

Watch what you are looking at there. Looks to me like it's an older internet picture. I can't put a link to it but it shows up in several older adds that have been taken down.

Here's the CL add

Might be legit. Same phone number in each add.

looks pretty solid in the 1 photo you shared

really hard to judge by that, especially value wise

IMO $5k tops,
vague wild *** best guess

if you have to have it & it actually runs,
maybe a little more,
sitting for 30 years it will need everything gone thru
brakes, engine, trans, fuel system, carb, A/C, rubber hoses, steel lines,
oils/fluids, radiator flushed @ a min, gaskets, seals, rear end/gear oil

how much you can do yourself ?, tools you have or need ?
& how much you need to farm out ? or a place to do it even ?
all considerations need to be accounted for etc. etc. etc.

so start at the low & work up, could be $500 to start
& could be a couple $$$ grand to do it, just make it drivable
until you get into it you or I won't know

Value/pricing
especially with little to no photos/views of what it actually is
it's clean but not anything really special (no offense meant/intended)

I'll defer to those that keep up with that, for that year

Your part of the country plays a BIG factor in pricing. I got my 66 Belvedere for $6,000. It's a rust free, no options, 273, survivor car. I feel like I absolutely stole the car and have had multiple real offers between $9-12k for it. From your description and pic that car would be sold in hours for $10k+ in the Northeast.

So, assuming the pic and description are correct, most of you are saying an original paint, rust free, factory H code 383 with AC that runs but needs fuel system work is only worth 5K.

BIG RED X

It is the one on the Tucson CL ad...he claims original paint...non original cloth interior. 17k on the clock...could be 117 but it's original radiator (I checked the numbers)

Hard to say with 1 photo. If the interior is in nice condition and the rest of the car checks out then I'd pay up to $10k, but only because it would be worth $45-50k here in Australia. Seriously, check out carsales.com.au to see the crazy prices being asked here for Mopars.

I can do it all as far as repairs....30 years in the AZ desert.....my thoughts are give it what it needs and leave it alone as a survivor

But 11k is steep...I was thinking if it's as clean as I anticipate....runs as I expect....and all functions (the AC gets a pass)....i was thinking starting at 6....getting it safe and road worthy I'm guessing 3k

I often wonder about the prices I hear on forums. Is it really that much more expensive here in the Northeast? I'm not a rookie at this. I've been playing with old junk my whole life. 20 years ago $5k might have gotten you a running/driving Maverick or Duster that needed quarters and floors.

That's where my mind went....:wtf:

Power steering and brakes too

I paid 5500 for my 69 small block coronet 5 years ago....bad paint and worn out interior
