My first old Mopar I drug home was in 1986, a 71 Charger RT. Over the years I have had a couple more 71 Chargers, a cople 71 RR, a 73 base Charger, 400 4 speed, a 73 Satellite etc. I have several F bodies right now, a 62 Lancer and a 62 Dart. Too many for an old fart like me I admit. But, I find myself wanting a 73-4 Satellite project. Cheaper than a 71-2 RR or even Sat. maybe. Now days I care less about #'s and originality per say.
I hear rumors of AMD will make the rear qtr for such?? I enjoy fabbing metal, but those compound curve are too much for me.
So here I am checking out FB Marketplace for a decent project priced at what I consider market for such! Texas is a GM state pretty much, and when I do find something for sale, getting real info and decent pics is almost impossible. FB Marketplace has replaced CL and all the idiots there. And the projects I see elsewhere, well. lets say a roller that is priced at $4-5-6000 and been for sale a year, does not get my attention. 1000 mile road trips are of no interest either. lol
Oh well, sometimes you just have to make the hunt be half the fun.

My high school car was a 73 base charger 318 man I absolutely loved that car and have been in love with 73 74 mopars ever sense then. I just got finished with my 74 charger se. So the next project that I have is a 73 Plymouth satellite. We literally drug this car off a side of a mountain from a small west Virginia town. Floor boards are gone trunk floor gone that's really the worst part. The car came with a road runner hood and some nice interior pieces and real nice front grill. Always wanted a 73 74 Plymouth satte or roadrunner. Can't wait to work on it.

What would you guys value a 1973 Sundance Satellite with 318, guy hasn't started it in five years, but was running (allegedly) when he parked it. Straight body, but lower quarters have rust rot (like big holes). Faded paint/stripes. The usual worn out stuff, but complete from nose to tail. Just curious. I have a '73 Road Runner, but now I'm thinking I need a Sundance just because it was "different."

I was thinking about a 69 dart 440, so I put a feeler out on my 73 SSP 318, motor apart, good interior, needs body work and tires. Best I was offered was 2800. So I kept my money, I need to spend it before the wife so I can finally do a 408 or something lol. My damn diesel keeps me on the run and as soon as the dakota is good it breaks something again, and then I also have two jeeps, you know how jeeps go.

you should be able to find a running driving 318 car with a decent body for 6K or less

I am waiting for some pics of a 73 sat. roller 4 hrs away, , but the kid has a couple of engines to go with. Funny how people will place ad with a description of about 8 words and 1 whole pic! Bad part about these cars is NO sheet metal support and probably never will be, according to AMD. I can fab better stuff than Shermans.
I agree, a decent 318 driver can be had for $5-7000,less IF you get lucky.
