Steve Torrence and Pomona - The Details

I saw it on Dragzine newsletter
the comments were brutal...

I assume he & his family didn't like the punishment
after he had already apologized several times on air
to the guy he pushed in person several times
& at the awards banquet, he took the blame like a man

lost his control for a moment, in the heat of battle

NHRA is continuing to air the incident several times, over & over
also making much more of it & more of a big deal
than it was in the 1st place
Or they wouldn't continue to air their dirty laundry

not sure I'd have done it the way the Torrence's Capco Racing did
sitting out the Winter Nationals & the points
a race he could have very well won
or the several teams that leach off his parts too, that also didn't show/race
only a 13 car field in T/F

but it's not up to me

it should be over,
if all the parties were adults, held to the same std.

the NHRA admin. officials are held to a different std.
than the drivers I assume

my $1.25
I don't really care what others think
get back to racing

What I wanna know. Did he take the anger management Classes, as directed by NHRA?
I think not.

The point that is not discussed is that if you watch the video it appears Torrence was turning away when Ferre stepped after him and said something. It might be interesting to know what was said. In either case Torrence probably shouldn't have smacked him but there may have been some provocation. Yeah, Torrence is guilty but Ferre may not be completely innocent.
