What did you do to your Mopar today?

LOL.. wife wasn't too happy when we were doing 100+ on the Interstate while back tracking after missing a turn off!
Get stopped by a cop who's a pr%*k and a Ford guy. Reckless driving towed vehicles arrested, what a day.:D:eek::eek::eek:

State trooper BLEW by us while we were doing so!! LOL At least the wife was driving a Ford pulling the trailer! HA

I replaced the other new MS with one from Wilwood. Same problem as before. Then I discovered the repopped 8" Bendix booster was bad. No air rushing when I pulled the check valve after running the engine without applying the brakes. I ordered another one.

FYI, if you order a new booster you either have to resize the hole in the firewall plate or buy their new plate which already fits the new booster portion that goes through the firewall. If you try to reuse the old plate without enlarging the hole it will damage the booster.

This was not the case in my car as I had purchased the booster in a kit that included the pedal linkage and firewall plate.

I noticed the booster and MS sitting cocked a bit toward the driver's fender and the brake lines had barely enough room to clear the inner fender before I took the assembly off. I had the firewall plate on backwards and one side was flush against the booster while the other was sticking up about 1/8" causing the angle. I'm pretty sure installing the new booster this way ruined it. I did not know the plate only goes on one way until I watched a Ram man video about the kit he sells.

Chalk it up to a lesson learned.

Lowest price on the new booster was at Pirate Jack's, which is apparently a store front for the manufacturer MBM Brakes. They have the same address.

The plan is to get the Coronet to a point where it is reliable enough to leave at my daughter and son-in-law's house where Bill's Cuda is stored while I take the Cuda home to repair/replace/restore some items. Like, the dash, gauge housing, fuel tank, steering column coupler, etc. Commuting 60 miles round trip once in a blue moon is taking waaaay to long to get the Cuda on the road again.

I been working my azz off to pay for parts

Put drums and tires/wheels on adjusted brakes. Fixed don't think so, didn't find anything to say fixed. Lead shoes have a little less material on top. If I still have a swish, swish, swish I'm going to put some miles on before any look see. Painted the backing plates where scrapped up while installing rear. Gold old shoes black new note more material lead gold shoe.

Welded the new spring perches on the Dana. Somewhere along the lifetime of this one (like many others) someone moved the perches inward. I ground them off and returned them to the factory location. I used the 8.75 the came out of the car to index the perches for proper pinion angle.

Compression tested my 70 charger 383 magnum. 1st time. Just trying to get a handle on where this 50 year old engine is. Lowest reading was 145 on # 1, highest was 160 on #6. I've had it for 4 years and just got it on the road this past May. Power is not where it should be, just beginning to investigate why. Readings were surprisingly good. These were dry readings.

Started building a table for my bead roller so that I could build a replacement panel for the 69 Plymouth wagon I am working on.

Nice work, very clean.

I finished my bead roller table and then discovered that my lathe has issues so now I have that tore apart...
