Designed in partnership with Sylvania, the Super-Lite was optional on the 1969 Dodge Monaco and Polara lineup. The controlled-beam Super-Lite utilized a quartz-iodide bulb for laser-like lighting accuracy. It focused its precision cast of light onto the road for forward visibility, designed to match the power and speed of small- and big-block V-8-equipped full-size C-body Dodges.

I have seen a few Polara's for sale with it. I think this is a steal, but then I love it, so I would probably overpay.

Saw a few back in the day....thought they were more for a day time driving light so others could see you better when passing etc. Lots of two lane roads back then (round here anyways) and passing with head lights on or the super light on helped oncoming traffic see you coming in their lane.

It checks all the boxes, doesn't it? Imagine dropping the top on a warm October day, taking the wife on an hour long drive through the foliage followed by stopping at a restaurant. And being swarmed by people who "had a neighbor who had one!"

Read about 'um, never seen one in person. Good idea that may have never caught on.Much like the mid 71-ish headlamp washer/wiper offered on Chargers. Only seen that once in my Mopar lifetime.

They were commonly called day time driving lights here.
My friend had a 1959 Canadian Pontiac Paresienne Convertible that had a center driving light in the grill when he bought it in 1964.
I have seen 1971 Plymouth Grand Coupes with headlight washers/wipers also.
