I could sell everything I have and it wouldn't be a drop in the bucket to what that thing is worth. I will have to keep playing with what I have.
:steering:

if sold everything i had twice i still wouldn’t have enough

Could you image firing that up on your driveway on a sunny weekend in your development while the neighbors are enjoying an afternoon wine and cheese gathering on the back patio?

Id say the homeowners association would be pissed:lol:

What is the distance needed to get it off the ground. I have a neighbor I like to piss off. The Hemi Dart does it, but that would be better. :)

Nice condition bird. But at $3.95 million, it's been for sale for a couple of years so far, I don't think it has had any takers yet.
I'm sure RC could afford it... :)

If somebody gave me that, I couldn't afford the fuel.

F-4 fuel flow, in pounds per hour (pph):

Idle: 800 - 1400 pph for each engine

Military power: 7500–9000 pph for each engine

Max AB: 40-45000 pph for each engine

Jet fuel weighs about 6.5 pounds per gallon and costs about $2 per gallon.

Cool bird. My dad worked at McDonnell Aircraft in St. Louis where they built those. I remember watching them take off and land, usually in pairs at Lambert Field. They'd light the A/B on their take-off roll and climb. Looked really cool at night.

Used to work on them. RF-4C mechanic. (crew chief)
I was thinking the same thing as to fuel.
Gotta be a millionaire to buy it, and a millionaire to fuel it.
If it was flyable, who the hell has a licence to fly it?
And what ex military F-4 pilot ever became a millionaire to buy it, and fly it?
It's not flyable now, as it is, then how is anybody going to get it from point A, to point B?
Even with the wings folded, it would be too wide for a flat bed, tractor-trailer to transport it anywhere.

It's been restored to flight status even the injection seats are loaded and ready to go.

??????The story said it was 85% done.???????
That wasn't talked about, now being all done.
An old article.
Well, thank's for the update, then.
Maybe i can hear an F-4 again, on engine start up, in my lifetime, what's left of it.
A very unique sound.

You'd have some hellacious weenie roast parties, eh?

I was mowing my lawn in the early 70's hear this roar overhead. Looked up an F4 was low 1000' or so doing 180* turn what a sight. Read in the paper he got in a little trouble for being to low. Never forgot it.
