Where did you and your car go today

Went to a friend's to re-do some of his ag pump wiring..ugly looking but dry today after our first decent weatherbringer. Lots of snow especially at the higher elevations but we only saw maybe 1/2" of rain down here (300' elevation)..

That's as close to snow as my car ever gets!

I guess my last outing for a while was Wednesday.

Was going to go on a 100 mile trip to Willits but there were hail/snow warnings for 101 that day so I just went and blasted up & down 80/680 for 3-4 hours.
Holiday traffic started loading up so I roared (slowly!) home.

I thought about doing a short drive this morning but it was still in the 30s & drizzling.
I am HAPPY for the rain, it is going to pour down here for a couple days.

The rain stopped yesterday, the temperature was in the 50s & roads dry so we meandered about up-valley taking all the cross roads I came across.
On the way down I saw a big truck with cars painted on the side of it crawling up the hill and wondered what it was doing here.

As I neared home I noticed these Porsches in a parking lot & thought to have another look...

Around the corner was the big-rig I had seen about an hour & a half earlier.

I stoped and spoke with the driver who said these beauties were going home to INDIANA.
After some chatting about the Charger he asked if I could help push the Packard on to the ramp. Naturally I replied "of course" & parked the car & did.

I took a few more pics & headed on home.

'Twas a great outing and one of the last for this year, I'm sure, so I was greatful for the nice weather. The car ran great but I am now on the cusp of deciding whether or not I 'need' a SS transmission...
'Needs' and 'wants' are often very nearly the same thing, aren't they!

Managed to get out again today. So we wound our way down, down, down, down the backside of the mountain

Then back up & over mountain, down other side & up & down valley again for the last time this year again?
Drove around 2 1/2 hours, put about 100 miles under it.
I really, REALLY enjoy driving this car!

Awesome stuff, my friend. Thanks for sharing!
We had an unusual opportunity today to take the GTX out as well.
Nothing as beautiful as your surroundings, just a 20 mile jaunt to the next town over for our "meat run"
(there's a small grocery (IGA) that has much better meat than either WallyWorld or the large chain grocery
in our own town does).
My wife actually had to talk me into getting the GTX out - with the busted heater box on her, she ain't much
for warmth on chilly days, but today was in the lower 50's and my wife was game, so off we went.
Got so frisky coming back from there that I did an impromptu 4-gear wringing out of the car.
First time I've done that all the way through the gears, bang-shifting and keeping it matted.
Well, she ain't fast, but she took the beating without a hiccup.
Good enough for me. :)

Love it Ed!
I Felt like I was in high school again. Could this be the beginning of my 2nd childhood?

Damn, it was 50° here today. I came this close . to getting my Dart out and going for a cruise. Instead I just looked a a picture or two.
It was my Dart's 54th. birthday.

In the past, I would have had the battery out and the car cover on the GTX by now.
For some reason, I haven't done that this winter yet.
Wishful thinking? I dunno.

First day of winter and it was 55 degrees. Couldn't resist taking the GTX and Roadrunner for a drive. Didn't go anywhere in particular, blasted some back roads, did a couple of good burn offs and parked them out front of the shop for pic.

At least we know where all the beautiful Mopars are at, they're all on this site!! Well done guys!!!

No pictures, but, went out for a 60 mile run yesterday and man did it feel good.

Last week went to Willits & back for 200 mile base-line fuel 'economy' test (I'm just curious for range) with 800AVS2 & 727 before transmission swap. 14.28 mpg...
