Where did you and your car go today

Had the 63 at the Mopars of Brevard county (MOB) show this past week end.

Glad to hear it's only the weather holding you back!
I didn't notice you are in Michigan...Duh.

BDF6 - I love how you just pile the miles on your Charger and enjoy the heck out of it! That's the way it should be!
I have to agree!! He knows how to make it fun to own one of these old cars!! I have always said, my goal is to wear it out. Just got mine back from a check up, electrical. Ignition switch went out. Put three thousand miles on her this last year.

We just did the usual up & down, criss-coss up valley.
Perfect weather & nice cars were abundant.

The BEST was this New Yorker wagon, what a beauty!
We exchanged vehicular compliments as I drove by.

I thought that these ladies had good taste and it was confirmed a little later on my return pass.

Matted it a couple times but did not fry them off as is planned. My wife seems to really enjoy "peeling out" but says it is kind of scary when "the back of the car is sliding around".:steering: :bananadance:

14 and a quarter is pretty good in mixed driving with some fast starts.

You seem to have a habit of meticulous documentation.

Is your drivetrain combo documented somewhere?

The 'good' mileage runs are a 100 mile, one way trip to Willits while exerting the UTMOST restraint with the go pedal= drive like an exceedingly cautious granny. I get about 7-8 mpg on the way home because of the frequent bursts of exuberance. On ramps, passing lanes & etc.:bananadance:
The combo now is a 526 RB with 10.23cr, a Dema Elgin spec'd solid FT cam (mild for the size, but I specified that it must run on 91 octane CA pee-pee & behave in 100+ degree stop & go LA traffic for extended periods), 727 trans- no OD (yet) 3.23 SG & 27" tires.
I'm very happy with it as I have yet to excercise its full potential (I lift) and thought I'd get 8-10 mpg tops.
A stage 3 SilverSport automatic is in the works now and I'm looking forward to the better gear spread & lower rpms on the freeways.
I may even put the 3.55s back in, we'll see...

My wife came along for the ride and knew I was going to 'peel out' as she calls it. Out in the middle of nowhere I said "This looks good" and hammered it. My wife jolted up in her seat obviously startled. I thought she was ready but obviously she was NOT. I braced myself intending to appologize while she just looked at me.
Then she said matter-of-factly "It really screams doesn't it". I got a good one!

I drove mine downtown Detroit leaving autorama last night out of the tcf event center with hundreds of cheering fans on her first completed maiden voyage, sorry no pics.

Took family members for a joy ride around Mom's neighborhood. Mom is 81 and her friend is late 70s. Both had a hard time trying to get into the back seat. They both have hip and knee problems and loss of muscle tone. Stuff most of us take for granted that are necessary for everyday tasks. Use it while you can.

That must have been/felt GREAT, good for you!

Went for a ride with my wife across the county. The thumbs up and honking was great to hear. It's been parked in my neighbor's garage till I'm done with my garage
I start today on my garage with hopes of being done in a week or so.

Well today was a special day for me, I finished my garage and my car came home to a new parking spot! Down sizing has been a lot of work. I've went from an over sized 4 car attached garage to an over sized 3 car attached garage to a now 19 foot x 21 foot. At the end of the day my 65 and my Durango fit, but all my extras are now in my shop. My wife and I went for a ride and backed her into her newly carpeted stall.
