The crash was a nasty one. Prayers for Ryan, his family, and crew.
 
Activity at Halifax Health following #Daytona500

 crash. We believe Ryan Newman just arrived. Rushed into trauma entrance, escorted by deputies. No word on his condition

Haven't watched the whole race yet.......
 
I don't follow much Nascar anymore but He was one of my Favorite racers. Prayers to him and his family as that was a nasty accident. Hopefully he is able to make a full recovery as I am sure he has injuries..
 
Was watching also and yes that was a bad one.
Prayers for Ryan.
 
The last race I watched on TV was when Dale Earnhardt crashed and passed away. Never watched another race after that.

Hope Mr Ryan N pulls through and makes a speedy recovery.

Ryan Newman's crash was 100 times worse than Dale Sr.'s crash. Fortunately, the safety mechanisms in todays' cars are 1000 times better.

I agree that when DE passed on, watching NASCAR has never been the same for me but I still watch selected races. Sad about Ryan and hope he's ok.....

I watched that footage that was shown. Nasty crash.
 
That car hit him right at the drivers door roofline when he got airborne. Looked bad! Hope he's okay. 440'

I remember watching that race that took Dale Sr. from us. I turned off the race thinking that DE was fine, it wasn't that bad of a wreck. I later learned on ESPN that he passed. I attend 2-3 races every year, and the presence of Dale Sr. is still alive at every race. I send my prayers to Ryan and his family.
 
Hope he pulls through first and foremost and with no permanent injuries. That second hit was the bad one.
 
I think some know more about how bad it is... Reynolds and Gordon appeared to be struggling to talk. All media was asked to leave the pits while black screens were put up while removing him from the car... I sure hope he pulls through..
 
Don't know where she saw it and certainly don't like to speak out of line but my daughter said she heard they were giving him CPR at the track....if true that does not sound good. Hope it's not.
