Hey guys,
Looking at a disk brake upgrade after discussing my 68 RR brake fade.

I have looked at several kits, but can't figure out why know one makes a drum to disk upgrade to the PIN type caliper? All of the kits I have seen are for the smaller 'slider' calipers.
It's just a bolt on interchangeable caliper bracket needed to use the larger PIN caliper.

Anybody selling PIN type caliper brackets?

Thanks yall !!

I believe replacement pins are hard to come by. You can get the slider calipers in a variety of piston sizes. I have ones with 3" pistons on my 87 Dodge pickup. I think the ones on my Belvedere are 2.75 inch piston calipers from a 75 Valiant.

Pin caliper adapter as said above and $300+. Sometimes a member will do $200. Ramman may sell them, there are two similar rammans so check.

you can get ceramic pads for slider calipers.

could not get them for pin type last I checked

Pins come with new calipers.

Slider brackets exist for the larger rotors.

Caliper sizes do not vary between the two. i.e. small and large rotors use the same slider caliper.

Oh-oh, I better go see what I have 'cause I bought Ceramic pads but have pin calipers !!

Thanks guys, I will check into availability.

NJRR, thanks for the heads up.
