Time to change the "Ferrari spec" oil in my turbo Renegade

Sorry, I’ll stop. If it doesn’t start in a Lab, it’s Dino oil. Smoke and mirrors. Just like made up requirements.

Does it start in a laboratory if it is made of natural gas?

OK, finally got it done.

...and went back to review the dealership paperwork and found out they've been putting the wrong oil in it.

WTF is wrong with people?

They've been using the 2.4L spec 0w-20.

I mean it says right on the filler cap "Use 5w-40".

I went back and got 5w-30 Euro Full Syn for this time, so as not to shock the system, and will put in the Platinum 5w-40 next time.

Sheesh.

Are you saying it has 60000 miles on it and has never had the oil you thought they were putting in it, in it.

IDK what was done before I bought it with 30K, but the last 2 (cant' find the rest) at the local dealership were wrong.

IDIOTs

Looks like I will have to add "dealership brand specific, trained service department personnel" to my list of "people you shouldn't have to tell how to do their job, but do" list.

Right under-

Doctors
Realtors
Insurance Agents
Tax Collectors
Major Corporation IT Engineers

I wish.

Only way to know what’s in the crankcase is to pour it in yourself. 20 weight is too thin for Florida heat.
