I made an online purchase yesterday, February 19th, went online at my bank today and checked the amount, that charge was all good, but, I noticed these two charges.

February 17th, ATOM TICKETS, LLC $37.50
February 18th, 9640 AMC ONLINE $43.56

I did not make these online charges. Called the bank today and reported it. They cancelled my card and sending me a new one.

Sounds like your CC number was stolen earlier. Did you go to a restaurant and give the waiter your card to pay the bill recently? That's one of the biggest ways they get your number. Take a pic of both sides of the card and then use them online.

Yup....not a good idea to use your 'general purpose' card at restaurants. I have a card that I use to buy groceries and pay bills and only use one card at restaurants. So far so good but if someone scans my number at a restaurant and uses it, all I have to do is check the date and that will give me a good idea who did it....that is if they don't wait too long to use it.

I don't know what it is you want us to do about it? Sounds more like your problem, not mine/ours!

THANKS FOR THE WARNING, ant thanks again for sharing, this is a call for all of us that use credit cards and to be more careful about it:thumbsup:

Last time that happened to me I went down and paid my classic car insurance through my local agent...He's a friend but whoever was on the other end of the line was a thief...

He called their office while I was there...passed on the card info...Paid the bill and all is good...

Next day I get 3 random charges that were disputed and rejected by my credit card company...Basically fraud by using my stolen card numbers...I went down and told him what had happened...the way it went down they were apparently able to pinpoint the person responsible but couldn't pinpoint a transaction with my card numbers back to that person...

The kicker for me was that carded hadn't been used in about 3 months so there wasn't any doubt as to where the number was stolen from...

In this day and age it's eventually going to be everyone's turn to get hosed...

Unfortunately. Seems to be a thing in these times. Happened once to me, PNC bank was good and quick to tell me.

I got takin for 1365.00 on ebay two weeks ago . That was a **** show to deal with. Wont be seeing that money back anytime in the future. Ebay washed there hands of it as well as paypal. My problem to fix.

I use Discover card. They do not charge you for fraudulent purchases. I had someone use my car number at the Cosmepolitan in Vegas once for $5600 in one night before! They took care of that and two other times it was stolen.

Okay then dude, act like you didn't get the heads up. Everyone else can be a little more cautious, just not you.

I don't worry because cash is King, the day you learn that, ......it will never happen again. But you know what's best, Just sayin!

I don't own a credit card. I have a debit card and change it every 5 or 6 monthes.
Yes,cash is KING but sometimes you need the plastic to buy online or rent a car:jackoff:

Our Amazon Visa has been compromised more times than I can count. At this point, it's become an annoyance having to have the card replaced every 8 or 9 months.

I realize you don’t use it very often but they say debit cards are by far the worst offenders in the scam game. Be careful

Try renting a car with cash. I never use a credit card in a restaurant. If you have a credit it will probably happen to you at some point. Someone in Texas charged gas on my Discover number, they made a phoney card. Discover shut the card down, wife in Costco had to use cash to pay. New card 2 days later.

Hard to order car parts from guys online or parts stores online with cash.....last time I tried to feed 100's into my computer, the CD drive ate the fuckers and I never got my order!!!!

:lol::lol::lol::thumbsup:

Also, prepay gas is a friggen pain in the A**. The way fuel prices fluctuate and the amount I drive, I have no interest in guessing how much it'll take to fill the tank every time but to each his own.

Wondering how can that happen? Unless you made a deal outside of Ebay?
