so here`s the dilemma I`m not bashing anybody or any company I just want to know!!!
my interior code is t7 in my 1969 roadrunner. my original dash obviously looks brown. my metal on my dash is a brown color aslo. according to legendary my dash pad is and should be buckskin, which I ordered and matches my seats. so which is right buckskin or brown. I was informed by legendary this morning they don't make brown dashpads. any and all input would be wonderful. I have never seen a buckskin dash pad I would like to get it right the first time im not planning on doing it again! thanks in advance.

Years ago I parted a 69 runner that was T5 copper exterior and brownish interior. The dash pad and a pillars looked like your old pad. They are long since gone....but my memory wasn't off color that much. I don't ever recall seeing a dash pad the color of the new one you show....unless it was something from the mid 70's

Go to Herbs Parts and get their brown dye/paint and do that new pad and you will have it. I'm going to venture out and say I think the old pad is more than likely original and that the buckskin color is BS.

Their Brown matched exactly on my 67 dash pad. I can see your original pad getting a bit darker with age.

I agree, I just got this pad Monday I think its going back, herbs does sell a "brown" dash pad.

Herbs has always worked with me on getting things right. I compared paint samples on the turquoise engine paint with him for 2 years before he finally got it right IMO. He is a great guy and one of the few that listens to what you have to say.

By looking at other 1969 B body T7 cars online the dash pad appears to be brown along with the lower dash trim.

Take it to a professional auto body supply and see if they can spectrophotometer on a part of pad. Try to find an area the sun didn't fade it.

Just an FYI but Herbs sold to AMS Obsolete. Not sure what that means for service and products, but it’s not the same people as it was a short time ago.

AMS Obsolete has many NOS and quality reproduction items. Very glad for the information, another thing I learned tonight. Thanks

Not a Roadrunner, but this was the interior in my 1969 cuda, and it sounds similar. I installed a dash cap and bought a dye which was actually a GM colour, but as close as I could get to the original. the console was the same colour.

I have an unmolested 69 bird
T5-T7 and definitely brown dash/trim. Legendary said car never came with white vinyl top they do and it does. Unknow they are from New York

I scrolled down the page of messages. I don't think anyone has recommended contacting KolorKorect. I have had problems with Herbs 69 Blue Metallic and Hemi engine paint. I don't like to dump on anyone but when I found out about KolorKorect, the color they sent (not cheap) worked perfect. The vinyl/paint dye worked perfect even though I made mistakes so it is idiot proof. It is like body paint and has to be reduced and shot with a gun. I bought a cheap gun kit on ebay and it worked just fine for this project. I sent photos of the finished interior to the company and they told me they are posted on their Facebook page. If you want to see it, it is the same car that's in my Avatar, a B5 blue, pearl top 1969 Charger. If you need me to, I can upload photos of this interior. The dash pads were original and in good shape and I couldn't get them clean. I don't ever want to do this job again so I know what you mean.

Totally correct....

They told me a 69 Charger couldn't have an original pearl top but it's advertised on their site for 68, 69 and the car was built on Jan. 17, 69. If it was a transition color, I doubt anyone thought about it being a different year if they had pearl tops on hand when it was being built. Pearl was matched by them from what was left of the original.

My 69 Charger is original B3 with a pearl white top. My car was built April 69.

The pearl top is beautiful on a blue car. Thanks for telling me about your car, built even later and has one.
